This might very well be the last arranger I every buy.... What else would you need?
A Genos? No, just kidding, that wouldn’t fiit you.. what i have seen from you in the last decade or so In general what i have noted is that you fly all over the place But allways get back home when you buy a yamaha.. Just accept the fact that you are mostly a Yamaha man these days.. And i can see the reason behind that.. Bachus yes I am very fickle minded with everything in life as it's too short to dilly dally,.... but your correct when you say I am mostly and always was a Yamaha man for many reasons. I know what I like and hear when I play & sing and Yamaha always gave me that more easily then anything else out there. So to leave the wondering behind I try many things and sort it out afterwards,.... just like my mom R.I.P. always said,.. "when eating at least try it once then if you don't like it never have it again" ....the message is the same.

Yes sir been there done that,...paid my dues in the trenches.. now I can sit back and relax. The mic and fast Pc I have, maybe the SX900 will complete the package.
Hi Donny, best of luck with your Yamaha odyssey. But I happen to know you also have Mixcraft Pro 8, and was wondering in how far all the sound samples that come with it, including the 20 soundmodules such as mini-moog, pianissimo, etc. fall short of your expectations as compared to the ones in the keyboards ? And have you extended the plethora of sounds/samples included in Mixcraft with yet more and better samples ? Cause if so a decent master keyboard would be all you need ?? regards JOhn
John ....Mixcfraft 8 Pro is an awesome DAW and besides all that comes with it, I have many other really kool VST's also, some for playing, others for Vocal processing, and a few advanced Suites for editing. But,....there's just something about the freedom of playing an arranger kb that isn't quite the same as using a controller with your DAW. Each do different jobs for a multitude of purposes..take care.

Donny, I am happy for you, Rikki, and everyone else anticipating a new toy. I have been afflicted with GAS{gear acquisition syndrome) for many years. It is past time to pay my dues and learn more of what I have. With four arrangers, an SD40, BIAB, VArranger, 30 professional harmonicas,Midi harmonica,2 controllers and a Keytar, I have more projects than years on this planet.
BUT, Y'ALL GO HAVE FUN. SOB SOB

Hi Bernie thank you. There is always the s970 that could find a new home. Haha. Main reason I’m doing it, discovered I actually enjoyed playing my psrs950 the styles just suited me better. It’s been sitting in a corner for 5 to 6 years unused. I bought it, a few weeks later Pa3x arrived on the scene, end of story, the Psr just sat. Basically it’s 7 year old? technology now, just want to upgrade and actually play for a change . Won’t need to spend all my time converting psr styles to Korg. Haha Some of the new functions sound interesting, the chord looper, the style reset function, the key feel is apparently better, some sort of a pad / audio function, haven’t quite worked that one out yet, or at least not I finally get my hands on the keyboard. Found external psr software that will help to do the odd bit of editing or style creating, there’s at least one, I want to convert across from Korg, my 4/4 Ballad and maybe the odd simple jazz style from biab.

Hi Rikki
Oh, I think the SX900 will be a winner alright. I will be anxious to find out how much better it is than the S970. I told the wife about all the excitement building for the SX900, but that I was through buying keyboards. She had the unmitigated gall of laughing at me.

I agree with DomM - not at all a good rendition. While the player is pretty good at what he did with what he had to work with, I like my rendition and custom style much better - but what the Hell, I'm a bit prejudicial with this one. Here's my rendition of Hotel California recorded live during a performance in a Towson Maryland nite club job where I was filling in for a friend who was in the hospital. Here's the link to the style for you Yammie users. Hotel California Style Enjoy, Gary

Salsaman, glad I can still be an inspiration. I have always been a bit creative, and as long as I can still draw a breath, I hope to have fun in this life.
Paul, I loved that rendition - it really rocks!
All the best,
Gary
