On loading or uploading I get "Transmision Error" also I cant seem to load style files
into it. I have reinstalled and tried some of the suggestions on the forum,nothing seems to work.What am I doing wrong.
Can someone help please.

1) follow exactly the instructions in the pc troubleshooting document downloaded from software at www.technicskn7000.com to make sure the drivers are loaded properly.

2) make sure 7k is always on the home page.

I did print out the pc trouble sheet and followed the instuctions.I tried S M,
With K7 on homepage.I also followed the sd tutorial.The problem is Song Manager and transmission to and from computor. I dont know what to do next.I am missing something.

if you are absolutely sure that the correctly named drivers are in device manager exactly as described in the document, have you any other usb equipment connected?

try removing other usb equipment and any hub you may have, then connecting the 7k, then opening song manager?

Have now removed the hub and reinstalled
the driver.They appear in device manager and
seem to be ok.With the card in the kn7 I downloaded a new style from the kn7 site to the custom folder but it dont appear in song manager.Should you be able to drag and drop or am I doing something wrong here?

yes, contrary to what has been said in the past, you do drag and drop in Song Manager. Drag from the technics area and from the midi area to the picture of the 7k. And from the picture of the 7k back to the technics area. The panel will load with whatever files you transfer. Song Manager handles the normal Load/Save menu, including full customs, not the single Custom Load/Save menu. Use floppy transfer for single custom or read my tutorial if you have a card reader.

I have worked through the tuitorial and
managed to load a ast a file from the site
For the first time appearing in Song Manager
a small step forward. When uploading to K7
I get the transmission error.
What next?

boot computer, switch on 7k, cable into 7k, cable into computer is the right order.

open up device manager, open up usb, open up panasonic musical instrument, it should say device is working properly.

go to control panel, multimedia, under audio you should have panasonic usb audio as an option, under midi you should have 2 panasonic usb midis as an option.

then it should work...

try recording and playing back from the pc with the usb midi assignment from a pc sequencer? that would use the same data transmission channels?

If I read you right,Ihave no pc sequencer
software to be able to try this.Many thanks

the program that can play a midi file on your pc should be able to have the panasonic usb assigned to its output, instead of your computer soundcard, so you hear the midi file from the 7k gm voices through the 7k speakers. This would prove that data transmission takes place and the usb drivers are OK...

I have downloaded a midi plugin from real player.Have played a gm file through the k7.
Sounds great.Sorry to say No transmission.
