Chas,

My post was done tongue in cheek. The millennials, the press go back as far as they can to discredit someone. A good example is Prime minister Justin Trudeau. The opposition went back to high school when he played Aladdin in a school play and wore makeup.

I am editing my post so as not to offend you.

Have a nice day.

I didn't know the actor Ed Ames was one of the Ames Brothers.

The Ames brothers was the popular version at the time.

I had it too, up until last year. Just recognised the cover. It was stored away for years.

So true Terry, music brings back great memories.

Haha, good one. It was just so funny how proud my uncle was of his “ color” tv. Bit of a worry when they did close ups of people, new disease, blue, pink and green striped faces.
Haha

I remember reading a post where someone remarked they hadn`t

heard of Ray Conniff for years.I think this song "Melody Damour"

was recorded by him,I might even have the vynal somewhere.

Terry thanks for posting that. I was probably the one saying I hadn’t heard the name Ray Coniff in years. My father was a fan of Ray Coniff and as I recall had six 33 ⅓ rpm records with both the singers and the band.

In 1968-69 I worked as an announcer for WPRO-FM in Providence, RI. We had what was called a “beautiful music” format, there were plenty of Ray Coniff selections on our pre-selected playlist.

Yes, Vic, Ed, Joe, and Gene!

After Ed began his acting career, the other three came to Houston back in the late fifties and opened a night club. Don't think it lasted very long.
