The passing of a friend, loved one, especially a parent is heart-wrenching. My condolences to you and yours.

Donny, sorry, this post got past me. 96 years old, how fortunate you are to have your Dad form such a long time. There are no words to express the feelings when part of you has been taken away, part of you is gone.

I remember when my Dad passed away, it took me a few days to realize that the man I knew from my beginning was no longer. He was my teacher, my protector, the man who loved me, and now I was alone.
Donny, I think about my Mon and Dad often.

I sometimes have conversations with them. They are not gone; they are inside of me. The way I live and love I learned from them. Sadness is no longer with me; I smile and think how blessed I was to have such a great Dad and Mom.

Donny, I hope my story brings you some peace, John C.

So sorry to hear of your loss Donny. Losses of our family members are among the toughest of life's challenges to ever deal with. Prayers for you and your family and may peace be with you all.

Donny, I did not read about this sad news before I see this thread.
Condolences to you and your family.
96 years is quite a long life, be happy for all the years you had together.
During sad times, remeber to keep the good memories alive, and life feels a lot better.
