If the feature was on OAS (Midi Multi-pads were) then OAX will probably get it eventually, however since V2.00 (When Wersi completely ruined OAX) they have slowly been improving via the updates, but still have a long long way to go, so better shopping elsewhere for the time being. (In Europe have a look at Bohm & Bemore ) Bill I still dont understand how they ruined oax in v2.00? 1. V2.00 completely reworked the sounds and while some have improved, the vast majority are far inferior to V1.50. (They really are awful, just have listen to the latest CDs from Claudia Hirschfeld & Robert Bartha, (Available on Spotify, Amazon & Apple) and if they can’t make them sound anything but mediocre, (Just listen their CDs before the V2.00 update) what chance has the customer) 2. there is still no way to store edited drawbar sounds (From the VST Host) so it is no longer possible to make the Sonic sound like any Wersi that has gone before, (If you want Wersi sound and control then your only current option is Bohm) 3. V2.5 added a great new mic section, however very few use it (Just like they did not use it with OAS) as there are much better 3rd party alternatives, (Including VST versions) thus a complete waste of resources. 4. The drum editor (Which everybody was expecting to be like the one added to OAS (You could edit everything and load in new wav samples) is a complete joke, as it offers virtually no editing capabilities. 5. Style conversions are abysmal (You certainly wouldn’t want to use them in a song (Some have been posted on YouTube and they are a complete embarrassment) as they are that bad) and you can get far better results (For free) by converting the Genos styles into T2 format and loading them straight in. (Even without editing they don’t sound too bad) 6. In the noughties Akai samples and STS samples were plentiful, and plenty of owners bought sample discs to add extra sounds for their OAS instruments, unfortunately Akai and STS samples (The only samples that Wersi (OAS & now OAX) could load) are now virtually none existent as everybody has moved on to VSTs. (OAS uses who have upgraded to OAX are happy with the latest update as all the sample discs they bought when they had an OAS instrument can now be used on OAX, thus they are no longer stuck with the awful V2.00 sounds) 7. A simple sound editor was available in OAS in a way shorter time than OAX. (If you look at OAX development, it has been so slow compared to OAS (Which still has way more features than OAX) that it is a complete embarrassment, not helped by Wersi spending resources on things nobody wants) Wersi are truly (Since V2.00) just a £50 Casio in a posh box with less features. Bill

Bill Ah, i see, and v2.00 is when they moved to their own prpriety sound engine and samples? As i said, i really like the sempra from Bohm.. But its even more expensive... espescially when you want the added vst support trough the cloud system... and it doesn’t have the same support for yamaha and roland styles the latest oax has..

Wersi OAX V2.00 on and Yamaha Genos comparison here Bill Thats a link to the playlist of Leigh Wilbraham (who i happened to meet in person today at the Wersi Netherlands wintershow). But there is no direct comparrison video here... Not in the sound for sound scenario, (However as these are pretty much irrelevant due to the EQ etc. is not optimised to get the best out of them) but as Leigh owns (Or has owned them) he will have optimised the settings to get the best out of them, which is a much fairer and realistic comparison. How did the show go, did you enjoy it? Bill Leigh is a very nice player.. And i did enjoy the show.. There is still many things i like about Wersi.. They had an OAX 600 for sale But still, a Wersi on sale is very expensive

Its as Abacus indicates Technically they are the most advanced However musically, it requires a lot of work to make them sound as good as a Genos, or even better.. Its all in the box... altough, vst’s are a sepperate
Had a friend who imported a Wersi from overseas, no idea what model it was, goes back approximately 15 to 20 years ago. Spent an absolute fortune on it is shipping, import duty , cost of the unit itself. He had nothing but problems .The technology was way over his head. Basically didn’t really know how to use it. Brilliant keyboard/ organ player, but something he probably shouldn’t have bought. Don’t think he had for too long. Something I would have enjoyed exploring, but, since it was something I would never own, didn’t see much point in getting involved.
