I'm deciding, between the new SX-9000 for about $2,000, or a used T-5 for about $3,000, or just keep my ol' PSR-3000, the only arranger I currently have for home studio use only. Thoughts? Considering how long you keep your arrangers (The 3000 is antique in technology terms) I suggest you ignore both and go straight for a Genos, as the extra money will be worth it just for longevity. Hi , Went for the sx because of the new technology, I had an S950 which I hadn’t really used much because I had a Pa4x. Had them both here for a week, and there was a definite improvement between the S950 and sx900. As for a T 5, never had the opportunity of playing a Tyros, and doubt I’d ever have the opportunity of buying one second hand. They don’t seem to pop up for sale over here. Our eBay seems to be full of new keyboards not second hand, possibly why I didn’t have too much trouble selling my 3 korgs. Personally didn’t want to spend the amount the Genos would have cost, or not at this stage. Want to see how I go with Yamahas first, I’ve had korgs for the last 10 years. Bit of a hard decision for you. Good luck.
