The noise in the first part of the video was from the suction cup breaking loose that held the video camera. After that, everything seemed ok for the GoPro to record. Now you can see how shot to Hell I am these days.
The S-950 style that was used was a 6/8 Celtic March style tempo of 123, A and D variations, and I got lazy and played it single fingered. The right hand strings on the Yamaha, IMO, were ideally suited for this song, so I did a bit of an instrumental segment, nothing fancy, just something to add to the song. I only used the basic chords of the song and could have fancied it up a bit with some intermittent minors, but I've become lazy in my old age. I've always loved this song, but I have not had the opportunity to play it for nearly 20 years, so I had to download the lyrics in order to sing it. 20 years ago, those words were embedded solidly in my memory. Carol was right, the mind was the second thing to go.

Hi Gary, you brought tears to my eyes again, happy ones this time, thank you so much for going to all that effort to record Waltzing Matilda for me, truly feel honoured. You sure still have it. Truly great version thank you, thank you.
Many wanted to make it our national anthem when we changed our anthem years ago from the English one to an Australian one. Advance Australia Fair, won out in the end. Song truly depicted theAussie larrikin spirit.
p.s. my middle name happens to be Mathilda, (European version has an H in it) named after a great aunt.

Thanks everyone, for the compliments. I'm glad that I am still able to still belt out a tune now and then. Life has been very challenging during the past three years and I hope to make the best of what little life I have left.
Love ya all,
Gary
