You can hear the difference. Choose which sounds best to your own ears.

... well, it'd be easier to compare if he used the same lead sounds. The rhythms are similar, but he uses different solo sounds.

Top me it sounds like it's playing over the exact same rythm, that it's 'only' the lead vices to compare?
I think it's about personal taste, and in my ears Korg was warmer and softer than Yamaha.
Yamaha has a crisper and clearer sound, more CD'is or effects at it.
But at the end, SX took the lead in my ears this time. 😎

I heard 3 distinct rhythms, all very similar, but slight instrument changes.

I think you're right Dave. Listened again 2nd and 3rd time with earphones.
It's also visible that the rhythm runs at all 3 kboards.

BTW: the Yamahas played the same drums. Korg was different.

I preferred the Korg, at least with this particular song.

The patterns were different between the 2 Yammies. The snare backbeat changed

The SX seemed to out shine the other 2 with the 970 a close second. The different lead sounds did make it a little confusing. The Yamaha ensemble sounds were definitely better than Korg. JMHO

A brass ensemble compared to a single trumpet is not a fair comparison. All three had their moments, but it was far from a controlled test.
