to be a good performer. She not only has a wonderful life story, but I would never have anticipated a voice quality such as this from an 81-year-old.

Enjoy,

Gary, here is a recording of one of my friends singing with me, on her 80th birthday.

WOW! She sounds incredible, Don. You are so fortunate to have so many incredibly talented people living close to you and paying you a visit at Ernest's Restaurant. And, your keyboard playing on this song was just perfection to listen to. Double WOW with this one.

Double treat... thanks Gary and Don.

Wow, those ladies can sing... and made doubly enjoyable 'cause they are two of my all-time favorite songs. Top that off with old man Winter easing up a bit over here... and life is grand.

Thanks again, you two!

----Dave

Dave, glad you enjoyed it. Winter has been here for just over a week, only got to 37 degrees today, much too cold for this old codger, but from this point on, I'll just have to endure it.

All the best,

Gary cool

Gary, that lady is downright charming. Don, that was hauntingly beautiful. 'Susie' sounds like a pro and that's what happens when you put two pro's together.

Thanks Chas. She was really something in her younger days. I think she used to do a lot of classical music. Now, mostly standards. Her husband surprised here with a karaoke machine and two Bose Compacts a few years ago, and they have a lot of parties.
They have a second home in Florida where they spend the winters and she entertains the other old fossils down there. smile

Don, you have mastered the art of accompanying singer. The sax has one main purposes, to support a voice when notes are being held. But while she singing the lyric, telling her story, you never got in her way.

I called that keeping the spotlight on the singer. Nice.
