Rumers are flying that two esteemed zoners were spotted having coffee in central NJ today!
smile
I met up with Rich (Sparky) at Starbucks, and had a wonderful time discussing life, and music, and left with more gear, and less ca$h then when I arrived! LOL!
It's so cool to put a face to the font.

What a coincidence. I had the pleasure of meeting up with an esteemed 'zoner' today as well. Capt Russ and his son and I met for a fun-filled lunch today. Although it was my turn, Russ (as usual) tried to pick up the check. When I noticed that it wasn't too big, I quickly grabbed it (with the full intention of loading up next time when it's his turn smile ). No pics although Russ had thousands of dollars worth of photographic equipment (you have to be careful when you're in Witness Protection smile ). Russ' son is very knowledgeable about a certain hobby of mine (videography) so I had to take advantage of this opportunity to learn something. Russ, of course, has more stories than he can cram into a given time period smile smile but they are all super interesting to me as most of the characters in his past happen to be musical heroes of mine. Always enjoy meeting up with Russ and always look forward to our next meetup.

PS: Russ, hope you made it back in time for that gig.

+ 1 Steve:

I wish West Mayberry could be a little closer to some of the great "Zoners" I enjoy hearing from or about... at this great site. It is a place to learn and enjoy all the tall tales we share here.

It was indeed a good time. Could have sat for hours and b.s.'d if we didn't have to be elsewhere. If you couldn't already tell, Dave is a very genuine guy and doing business with him was the smallest part of our meeting. Its great to meet 'zone guys and I hope to meet more. Thanks again Dave.
