What are Revo styles?

These are very high quality styles - what makes them even more outstanding is the added seven layered Revo drums which makes for a TREMENDOUS! improvement. Hence the "Rvo" added to these styles titles. It all started here.

How to purchase

To recap, you'll require:

1. The "SX ESSENTIAL" Pack @ 30USD from keyboardtipsmx@gmail.com
2. My modified version of the above @ free upon prove of the above purchase
3. Any or all of the styles demoed below @ 3USD each

Please note: Genos users ONLY!!! require my free pack as you already have the orginal Revo Drums on-board - I have a Genos customer who purchases ALL my styles - these styles are all working perfectly on his Genos.

* For even higher quality styles, be sure to check my Groovyband Live! styles also.

They sound great Henni. As soon as my rush is over, I will get into it for my S970.

Hi Bernie,

Tx! No rush - it will take me a while to create a good number of high quality styles again. I will also upgrade all my previous styles to use the Revo drums as well later on.

Cheers,

Henni

!!!W O W!!!

I thought something was wrong... I used a freeware Wav to Mp3 converter from Accmeware Corporation. Comparing my original Wav recording to the Mp3 version, I discovered a HUGE quality loss.

Next I purchased a converter from Hoo Technologies. The new results are like night & day. Now you can hear & FEEL the Revo drums. All demos now updated.

Now what you hear is EXACTLY what I hear on my PSR S770

I've discovered Groovyband Live! It changes EVERYTHING. However, not everyone can afford it or appreciate it for what it can do.

So, I will still continue creating new Revo styles with the same zeal as before and post the demos here. Soon I'll open a new thread however for my new Groovyband Live! styles. These styles require you to either download a free demo copy of Groovyband Live! or purchase the full version as an extra to what is already required for the Revo styles.

Thus you can listen to the demos & decide which styles you prefer. Cost versus complexity versus practicality etc.

If you think this is too complicated, think of it as:

1. Do I purchase the SX900 (i.e. do I purchase the Revo styles)

or

2. Do I purchase the Genos (i.e. do I purchase the Groovyband Live! styles)

Life is all about choices and we do what works for us personally. Both will do the job.

Hi Bernie,

Yes, please check my new Groovyband Live! style page for all the detail. Be sure to get the Platinum version and ask them to also supply the exe file for the "Henni Special Edition" version - it updates it to use my new voices from the Revo Pack.

If ANYTHING unclear, please contact me direct at buildtofly@yahoo.com

Regards,

Henni

Tell you what: why don't you fully investigate this and post your answer here for all to see? Better yet, come over to the Yamaha camp and be set free of any envy...

Hi Henni
I have seen different prices quoted for your styles; I think between $3 and $10 per. Kindly, tell me the difference.

Bernie

Hi Bernie,

All Revo style prices will go up from 3USD to 5USD in the new year. As for Groovyband Live! styles, I doubt many will opt for this as most humans fear that which they do not fully understand.

Most consider it too difficult to perform in this way for whatever reason. Thus I do not expect too many customers initially.

I find Groovyband Live! easy to work with as everything makes common sense. However, it still requires a LOT of work modifying these styles. I've spent at least close to a full day on almost each of them.

However, because we are all so very new to this, you can have the GBL styles at 3USD apiece for now wink should you wish. All I ask is that you give honest feedback on it, be it good or bad - but I would like at least feedback please.

Note that the advertised price will stay as is. I have no intention of "giving" these away in future as it is my bread & butter.

Regards,

Henni

Thank you my friend but,as of now I can't even find the intros and endings. It is a fantastic program if I can get my head around it. Time will tell. I tried binding endings to 970 buttons, but I guess they don't transmit midi. In the meantime, I may swing for an SX900 with more inserts.

I know the value of GBL is there, but will take this old guy a little longer.

Bernie

Hi Bernie,

Yamaha does not transmit buttons - only keys. I used the top 5 keys, black keys included.
