...said the guy who had just passed the 30th floor after falling out of a 60 story window.
Glad everyone survived Christmas. Donny didn't OD on fine Italian cuisine and no one became a highway statistic. Now, let's see if we can survive New Years. Happy (and safe) holidays, everyone.

Hoping everyone had a wonderful Christmas.
I know that there are some of us who have had a difficult year in various ways ... I truly hope the New Year brings some peace and comfort ...
My wife's sister has been battling pancreatic cancer for over a year, but with her spirit, determination, and drive, she should be THE spokesperson on how to deal with this dreaded disease ... We alternate years with her and my brother-in-law to host Christmas Eve, and she vowed that she was going to have her usual turn this year, and she did ...Even with lots of help it is no easy task ... Here are a couple of pics ... The "Nosh' table getting ready for people to pick on apps (those are my S-I-L homemade sausage rolls) while having a pre-dinner cocktail, and the 'L' shaped dining table set for 24 people ... The evening ended about 2am, and we had a great Christmas sing-along with me backing everyone at the KB ...
We had an amazing Christmas at home with a big gathering of family and friends. We had a big feast and since just about everyone plays and sings we did lots of music too. Here's a small sample, enjoy!
Me? My wife and I had 3 terrific days of Christmas starting on Monday then finishing it off Christmas afternoon with 9 other people. My wife had been in Florida already, I flew down on Sunday after finishing up my December gig schedule in Ri.
It was very enjoyable..................until Thursday morning at 3 AM that I got a frantic message from RI that my 93 year old mom was rushed to the local hospital because she couldn't breathe. Her COPD condition kicked in but she also had pneumonia. Then at 4:30 AM the doctor from the hospital called to ask if she had a DNR. Yes she does only problem the paper work is in RI in a safety DP box. My wife and I who have access are both in Florida. So got on a 9 PM flight to RI, went to the bank retrieved the document and brought it to the hospital. It's not a good situation and she has made progress will have to go to rehab for a couple of weeks. Based on the doctors and case manager's advice it will be time for Assisted Living for my mom. She lives alone when my wife and I are in Florida so AL is going to be the safest place for her and it will give me peace of mind.
Steve sorry to hear this.... I hope she does well and gets the care required. Does this mean you're going to be living back in RI to watch over mom.? I know the feeling going thru this with dad months ago. Stay strong.. it is rough...
