I’ve tried to sell both...couldn’t do it.

My Genos and my Roland RD 2000.

Both provide a wonderful experience...for me.

Selfish perhaps?

I've had only one love, my current 3X. Just can't get excited about any other smile

I tried the 4, but wasn't much of an improvement, to me. I like the 3X OS better too. I felt it didn't sound as rich, but that's my ears! I am looking forward to their next board. The EA-7 looks interesting. I'd like to give that a try.

In my opinion the 4X was improved in many ways that the 3X lacked, one being direct to disk reading like the Kronos, and very bigger sample memory, just to name a few, check out this video from youtube

FOR the music I play....The Yamaha styles and variety available are my reason to by partial to Yamaha...The 3 or 3X is also outstanding....Having a Genos and a 4X if $$ were no object would be perfect for me.
Meanwhile I just got the SX900.

Hey, that totally makes sense. You need to feel comfortable with the workflow and you have obviously spent lots of time getting your keyboard tweaked and suited to your style. It's great that you're enjoying what you have. Keep on creating your wonderful music on it!

Had I known about the RD2000 back when, I might have started gigging with it in place of an arranger now and then.

Considering all the voices, controls and rhythms it has, its the closest thing to an arranger I’ve found that is an 88 key keyboard that feels like a piano.

It’s heavy but definitely as much fun to play, considering it’s a piano, as my Genos is.

The Havian is an excellent keyboard. I’ve also owned a Yamaha DGX series, and still own a Casio PX 560. All three are a good attempt(but don’t quite make it) at blending an arranger with a piano.

I do enjoy playing piano and perhaps some day I’ll feel competent enough to play my Roland in public.
