Yeah, Don:

It skipped back and forth in a north-eastern "training pattern" and appears to be wide spread all the way into Arkansas... as well as "Gator Land." We missed a couple of warnings and heard lots of thunder.

Bet you'll be watching the LSU - Clemson Game Monday night! As an old Hog, I don't usually root for the Bayou Bengals... but they have earned the right to be there... and I wish them success.

UPDATE: A couple of tornadoes came through. Three dead, much damage. We didn't have much damage, just a trampoline from the neighbor that bent our metal fence.
My grandson's school, about three miles away, was heavily damaged, roof blown off, and sprinkler system flooded everything. There were hundreds of lightening strikes as well.
Sheriff has called us out to search along the storm's path for more damage or injuries.
Tens of thousands are out of electricity.

So sorry to hear that, Don, but very happy it wasn't worse.
Stay safe while on duty.

Stay safe, Don. We're next on the storm's list. Hoping there won't be too much damage but the warnings are scary.

Everyone stay safe!

It's always important to help strangers during a storm.

I remember driving through the blizzard of '99 in Chicago. At a stoplight, a poor fellow begged me for a push. I walked with him to the playground and pushed him for a half an hour.

Just saw the damage to Benton''s Middle School on National Weather TV, Don... and was glad it was not as bad as it could have been. Praying that the good people of Benton are as tough as I believe they are. I'm also grateful that the same storm decided to give us a break over here as it rumbled through.
