Most of the NH,assisted living, care centers etc, look like this around here .. great open areas to perform, first floor in & out... I always enjoyed them

Played that room several times Fran ... I use a Keytar, Midjay Plus, wireless headword mic and move about the room with the Bose Compact that filled the room very nicely. A long time ago,I learned from Gary Diamond, that the performers who move about and sing directly to the ladies get more callbacks ... from that point on, I used the keytar for those (NH) one hour gigs and the stationary board only for gigs more than an hour ...

Jerry,
Interested to know more about the keytar setup. You use a wired system, or midi it? You also use a wireless headset. How many tunes do you step away from the keys? Roland has a fairly new keytar out currently.

While I think 'strolling' amongst the audience is great, I guess I've been lucky so far to be able to 'connect' with my audience even while sitting behind the KB ... I'm sure others here have done as well, also ...
