He is a master for sure...
Do I dare say I feel more comfy playing a T2 then my Genos? coffee

Donny, Can’t say I’m surprised, Genos does things a bit differently and you’re more at home with the original type OS of Tyros and PSR. Glad to read you’re enjoying the Tyros2.

Steve thanx buddy...
I learned a great lesson in that older could be better then newer.....
look at Frans on G70,..Chas on Organ, zuki pa3x Kabinopus nibus on Psr3000, Don M on Ea7, Gary on S950, Tony on Korg 900 Etc,
and on and on it goes, you get my drift?..Tyros 2 is 15 years old (2005) and still sounds amazing thru my studio monitors (not kidding),...yes some of the features are old school but the
arranger kb, excellent keybed, tilt display, digital drawbars, great navigation still is a players comfort zone really enjoyable it just "feels good" smile . Many of the converted styles sound superb also from many of the newer Yamaha arrangers too.so many to choose from it's incredible,.....
sometimes sticking with some older of the models
could inspire big time. So all I am saying is "Who Knew"? cool2

Donny, You’re welcome, I owned the Tyros 2 and did plenty of gigs with it, it’s a very capable arranger.

Donny,

Would be a bit presumptious of me to say "told you so ", but as you know there is many a good tune on a old fiddle ....
I recently "expanded " my Ketron SD7 with the old Korg PA50sd, kind of contemporary to your Tyros 2, and could not be more pleased....With arrangers such as the Tyros 2, Korg PA50 or PA80,Ketron SD1 or SD5 , one can accumulate a fair amount of arranger keyboards with very decent sounds and styles for less than half the price of a Genos, and I mean one of each !!!!
I know that is not the way many want to go and each after his own.The only thing I still fail to understand is why you would limit yourself to one keyboard as, as you mentioned yourself, it stays put these days and does not leave the house.....
Consider a Korg on top of it and I will be glad to provide with you with heaps of software!!!!
......unless of course you do visit AJ........... smile

regards
John

John I used to carry a B3, Rhodes, and Two Synths years ago on tour with bands & a 147 leslie, and big heavy keyboard amps too
had enough of that for sure,...as times changed so did I, ....
Now all I need is one keyboard to accompany my Vocals..
I just do not like to play multiple keyboards it is not a good fit tried it many times, and my comfort zone is intruded upon but that is me..you would understand more if you played out for a living
every day & night as much as I did in the past...
but I don't begrudge all who use 2 or 3 kbs stacked
it is simply not for me or do I see the benefit in it for me.
That said so far the T2 is doing and sounding nicely...
what happens in the future is yet to be seen. cool2
Good luck
