Can Genos/SX900 styles be converted to work on Tyros2?

Is this or will this ever be possible in some way..?
There are a few styles from my genos/sx900
I would love to play in some way on my T2
if that could ever be possible to any degree?

I think your SX900 styles will play on the Tyros2, but the Genos has a lot of special format sounds that you will need to substitute.

Fran I don't think your correct about the SX900 styles working on T2 different format SFF..SF....?
substitute sounds are fine if it works which I doubt it for now.

I got a SX style from Dave and with EMC, I used the Tyros format and converted to Roland.. It had a problem with some sounds (replaced) and they worked..

So if I could convert with a Tyros format I think they will play in a Tyros..

The only 2 non Genos instruments supporting Genos styles are:
Wersi OAX. And V-arranger software
Last time i checked emc didn’t support conversion of Genos styles (altough they might have patched this in)

Well for one thing, the Tyros2 lacks NTT = Guitar. That was added in a later version of the Tyros. So if the style contains a track like that, it won't play correctly.

Obviously the T2 cannot play audio styles either.

Frankly I could care less about audio styles. But I wonder what the first Yamaha was, that can play SFF2 (Style File Format 2) with Guitar note transposition?

And the SFF2 -> SFF1 converter from Mr. Sorensen. If the original file came from the Genos you might have to run two converters in succession. The "Revo Drums Cleaner" and the converter.
Jorgen has been working with Yamaha styles for a long time, his stuff is amazing!!

Ted I never enjoyed any audio styles ever, limited editing, and quite frankly the sound isn't impressive to my liking...not for me..
I am sure style converter gurus can do this if there is a need....
if not I have hundreds of great styles to use on T2 as it is..

Most Genos & SX900 They work on my T5, the main problem is the odd drum noise from the RevoDrums.

Although not officially supported, your T2 might work surprisingly well, or with only minor and painless tweaks.
And we are sure among the 860 supplied styles you will find what you are looking for.
