... from an amazing 8 day pilgrimage to the "Holy Land" in Israel ...

For 'non-believers' a trip to this part of the world is an amazing experience because it just reeks of history going back thousands of years ...

For believers and followers of the word of Jesus Christ, it is a most powerfully emotional and rewarding experience ...

While I had hotel WIFI available, most of the time was spent away from the hotel ... I did check in here a few times, and even posted with "regards from Galilee ( where I actually got to stand in the sea) and Jerusalem"... in fact, chas even responded to one of the posts ...

Anyway, we are back and I've got a lot of catching up to do, listening to the many performances that have been posted ...

Plus, I have to go through and edit over 1100 pics that I have taken, because I promised folks who were on the same trip that I would make them available ...

Lee, many thanks, because that lens was the perfect lens for the trip ...

Thanks for missing me, Donny ... wink

Tony, what a beautiful experience, in many ways. I’m glad you enjoyed your trip; it will be with you every time you read and study.

Wow, neat Tony. My mother made that trip as part of a Catholic University (Wash.,DC) Alumni group. She went on about a dozen other trips sponsored by that group (she went to graduate school there). I think she was bound and determined to spend all of our inheritance. I still remember her talking about touching the Wailing wall, which was interesting since I don't remember her having a religious bone in her body (the apple doesn't fall far from the tree smile ).

Anyhow, sounds like it was a great trip and I'm glad you had such a great experience. I know I sound like Donny (forgive me smile ) but how about posting 2 or 3 highlight pictures for us; or better yet, put together a few more into a collection on BOX and share the link with us. Glad you made it back safely.

Great news Tony. Welcome home.
My wife, Susan, just returned from a 10-day Catholic mission trip to Panama, where they refurbished the residence lodging for an orphanage school. They also took supplies for the kids and spent time with them, and she even rode a zip line with them. She has slept for two days after returning!

Tony, Great description of your trip, welcome home. I knew it was very close to your arrival back home date and I didn’t want to steal any thunder from your post. That’s the same reason I posted to Donny’s question you’ll hear from him soon.

Steve, knowing as I do, I was in tune to what you were doing ... wink

I will post some pics via BOX after I've culled them out, for anyone who cares to see them ...

Wow, sounds as if you had a great trip, Tony and Lydia. I would love to see some photos as I have not been to that part of the world since I was a kid in the US Navy. Never did get to see Israel, though, just got close while on maneuvers.
