I guess this is a good time to ask this as I've been thinking about it for months now. I just don't like the styles on my keyboard. I'm thinking about selling it and buying a Roland. Reason being I found hundreds of Roland styles I forgot I had stored on my hard drive. To me nothing could top the authenticity of those Medieval Roland styles from the early 90s. Someone mentioned here in a past post that modern day Roland's (including the G-70) will play those styles. True?
I had a G-70 in my hands for about two hours at the music store when they first came out. Loved that keyboard. Everything....styles, breaks and fills, sounds, cosmetically pleasing. The only reason I didn't buy it was the "narrow" keys and the weight. If I had it to do over again, I'd snap that thing right up.
Donny, these are very nice demos. Thanks for sharing. Hope to see you back in the SX camp someday.
Thank you so much Mitch... And that day will be very soon....... like this Saturday...just sayin'
Donny, you just said goodbye to the SX900, and now waiting for a SX700? If you did not like the 900 enough to keep it, what is there that is more useful at the 700? 🤔

Incorrect Gunnar... it was actually (2) SX900 & a genos. To answer your question in short "Less is more" I don't expect you to understand...take care
I have Donny figured out-he just likes getting new keyboards.:) Nothing wrong with that, I guess. My only problem with him was when he was making statements such as (paraphrasing) the PA-4X was inadequate for his needs which was just silly. Now that I realize he just likes buying keyboards, I don't worry about it.

Think what you will my friend as your totally wrong, ...but,.. To each Their Own...just sayin'
Now that is a DEMO & nice left hand bass at the end too.
I've watched all this guys videos and he is amazing. Question: Does this board really sound this good live (let's put aside his great talent), or is it smoking mirrors from studio enhancements?

Donny, you also told me that the first video (which I didn't care for) is normally how it sounds and the really nice videos are trumped up studio enhanced demos...
Again, does this board sound as good as the latter videos, or are they conning us with effects and post equipment that we cannot duplicate ourselves?
It's either this or a 4X, so I'm being a pain in asking a bunch of questions.....

Zuki,.....many of these demos online are not to definitive answer but more of a small view of what it might sound like in your own hands playing it...I really think you need to either try one to find a friend that has a sx900 to play for a few hours, find one in a store to try, buy one with a return policy audition it keep or return it.....
What is your gut feeling about why you wish to change after so much time and effort on your beloved Pa3x, and you also tried a Pa4x which you didn't care for also correct?.. You have to go by YOUR NEEDS not someone else or some enhanced demos. Try one soon before you go nuts thinking about it. Perhaps it will be the ticket or maybe not,...one way to find out. Good luck my friend.
I can tell you this that Uncle Dave's SX900 is pristine with a super case at a great price.. just sayin'
