john smies Senior Member Registered: 05/05/00 Posts: 1384 Loc: koudekerke, Holland.	Two weeks ago it was my wife's birthday. In honour of that I recorded a song (cover version) using my Yamaha P80 piano keyboard and basically two VST sounds, piano and strings. My good friend Carlo who generally masters my recordings because he is much better at it than I am, thought it would be a nice idea and surprise if he also produced a matching video, which he did, as well as adding bass guitar to it.... I uploaded this to my youtube page as a private link and only shared it intitally with friends and family. However it was put to me that it might be a good idea to share it with all of you, after all you are all part of my family in a way..... regards John https://youtu.be/8UKXsakWZI8

As you may have surmised it was a double pleasure for me to record this fantastic ballad... Incidentally, I thought I had covered an Ellie Goulding song but as it turns out the original was from the Waterboys in 1990 and sounds WAY different to hers or mine for that matter. You can check it out on youtube.... Still I prefer the ballad versions myself..... regards John
