Learn any New arranger KB Songs since your all home? With so much time off besides binge watching Netflix movies etc,..... how many have sat down and took this down time to revamp your song repertoire, try out new songs, new styles, approach a setup in a different way, memorize music/lyrics, reorganize your gear, or maybe record some songs, etc, or just sit down and enjoy playing your keyboard?

I,like others,am going through my songs to memorize more of them. I have many hundreds,if not thousands,in my head, but think I need the PDF. I am finding out that if I trust my ears and finger memory more, it is relatively easy. I have about 125 in memory, but not for long.

Bernie keep at it repetition is the key... also if you always can improvise a few chords here and there when needed no one is the wiser I learned that a long time ago and never let the chart be a crutch.. With all your gear you must be busy revisiting different approaches....keep us posted ...thanx
right now I am celebrating my 37th Wedding Anniversary Today and St Josephs day too............ and my 9th day Anniversary with Tyros 4G..

Been learning a few since i teamed up with a sax player. Feels So Good, Pick Up the Pieces, Harlem Nocturne ( Latin Style) and a very popular Shag tune called Big Sister's Radio. I've done everything around the house I can, pulled weeds, trimmed trees, waxed cars, organized garage cabinets, so I have lots of time to play music and fool around with my HO trains . Waiting for delivery of my BK7M today or tomorrow, new shiney thing to hold my attenton foe awhile

I've been trying to put together an Irish song for the past few days, Galway Girl, which is fairly easy to play, but with my lung problem, difficult for me to sing.
There are two Galway Girl songs, but only one that really turns me on.

Before literally everything got cancelled I was very busy preparing new material for a cooperate event. Besides the regular Latin stuff we do, they wanted 80's-2000's R&B dance and country. Weird mix I guess, but I was up to the task of learning all this new material, most of it stuff I didn't exactly love, but I do like a challenge.
So now I'm working on stuff that I like for my own enjoyment. Most recently I started working on "NY State of Mind" I'll probably never perform it but it will for sure bring back great memories of a recent family trip to NYC. Such an amazing place!
I'm getting a least four hours of practice time a day in now, and loving it!Working on all sorts technical material, and trying revisit old songs from my list, and come up with new ways of planing them.
Besides that, I'm doing all sorts yard work, organizing, and getting my on line teaching up and running. I'm staying very busy and haven't even left the house!

Plan to work out every morning and hit the studio with the vigor I did on my remodel project. Lots of fun. So blessed to my health to accomplish all this. Busy, busy, busy - take advantage of the downtime.

zuki, I thought I had responded to this, but apparently not, ... I noticed you edited your post - too bad ... I really envy guys like you who can do all those 'constuction like' things ... I hope you really enjoy your 'man cave' ...

Nice Gary...really good clip. I have the Foster and Allen version of Galway Girl. Good but it doesn't compare with YOUR video.
There's something about Irish music that I just can't put my finger on. It's simple as pie to play, but when it's played correctly it gets under your skin and you can't shake it loose.
We went to see Riverdance 25 (25th Anniversary) at the movie theater on Saturday. We sat through the whole thing just plain mesmerized. That music is exciting when played by authentic Irish players.
Last two days I spent tweaking and editing styles, ots, & songs and setup two banks of registrations 8 in each.. 1 Reg per song....I try to do a bank a day..
