... I recorded this in Dec., 2018, using a backing track I made with a style, pads, and added accomp parts ... With the band in NY, our 'lead' singer, Fred, sang this and did a much better job than I, but here it is ... and it's 4 minutes long, NOT 29 ... "Through The Years"

Tony, nice. That was not an easy song to sing – I enjoyed listening. John C.
PS, I had to sing this song at a wedding, it was for their first dance. There were about 120 people. I was not comfortable, I had trouble with the middle part of the song. I sang the first part, and as I started the middle part of the song a bus-boy drop a large tray of dishes. By the time the got it cleared up I was at the end of the song. We finished the song, and I took a bow. John C.
Tony, Very nice I like the strings in the backing track too. And to quote John C. “That is not an easy song to sing.” . P.S. Tell Lydia I can picture you singing that to her on one of your anniversaries.

Yesterday I played my guitar for an hour – I have not played it for two months.
I play chord melody, very few single notes. My arrangements are a full page long, and as I played them my hand knew where to go, I rarely looked at the music.
Have I lost anything? Yes I have, BUT I really enjoyed it. John C.
Nice rendition Tony. Thanks for sharing! By the way, do you have any recordings or videos of your old band? I bet it would be fun to go back and listen to those!

Paul, I have a couple, and our guitar player took some recordings that were taken during a New Year's Eve gig and put them on a CD ... Unfortunately, the only way to record during a gig in those days was via cassette tape on stage, which resulted in a lot of ambient noise being picked up, so the quality is not good ... Hindsight being perfect sight, we should have just had a 'recording session' during a rehearsal, but ...
Here's a live vid that me and the missus did a while back. Quick and dirty phone capture in a large government building. Less than ideal acoustics with a 120’ ceiling. Yup, i30 and ih harmoniser on duty again.
HaHa! Yea, that's why I said it was a while back - a big 'ol while . I can't believe it myself. It's one way to stay young, I guess. Thanks for the listen.
