Very informative video. It does require a lot of work to completely make a style.

It took 16 minutes to make 1 variation by an experienced operator. 4 variations would take an hour.
Add recording 3 intros, 3 endings, 4 fills, and a break to the time.

I appreciate the effort that people make to create styles, and then share them for free.
We can see why styles are costly to purchase, although the creaters have tools which make creating the styles a bit easier.

Regards,

Jerryghr

Years ago, I created a style file for the song MY Girl - took me three days. Two years later, Yamaha had one on the keyboard that sounded a lot better than mine.

These tools are in the keyboards for a reason why not learn to use them?

There is SO much available for use these days, and I think it ends up "what is the user interested in?" and what does an individual want to spend time doing? ... There are many people still using old style flip phones ... When it is not a necessity, it becomes a matter of choice ...
Me personally?, rather than try to develop a style from 'scratch', I would prefer altering a current style - but that's me ...

I agree Tony.

I would rather spend my time improving my playing skills, and learning new material.

Tony, I agree, change the style to your liking. Like Gary, I did try to create my own styles at one time, it was fun to do.

Sooooo, there is no best way, it is what you enjoy doing.

Hi,
pretty basic style , really.
Noticed he actually started with an existing style , probably so that he wouldn’t have to explain how to do the ntr and ntt settings.
Never seen that explained on a Yamaha clip, there again haven’t really bothered looking.
Understood the korg system, Yamaha appears to be similar, but not identical.

Think one would get better results using style assembly function if they can find a track that works for what one wants.
At least the track gets copied across with the correct settings .
Also one can use tracks with mega voices and the guitar mode type tracks. I don’t believe one could record mega voice tracks in the keyboard itself .
