Funny, My mom's side of the family is 100% Italian, we do many traditional things that relate, but we never observed St Joseph's day. Never heard a mention before tuning in here. Every Sunday was an Italian holiday at our house - long dinners - lots of courses - lots of argume.....DISCUSSIONS smile Great people, great memories.

Dave, St. Joseph's is more a Sicilian celebration ... My ancestors are from Naples, and we never 'celebrated' St. Joseph's, but when I met my wife, whose family is Sicilian, I found out what a celebration it is for them, which includes food made only for St. Joseph's day ...

I don't think those words exist in the Italian language ...BUT while most of it had pasta it also had vegetables and sea food ... I have to say it did not fit my palate ...
