Dave, this is the first time that I realized that your voice sounds so complete, not much need for background.

A uke and a voice, and it sounds good/complete. I put Gary in the same place. His voice and then something.

No fat heads here, I said you were good, but I did not say how good. (smile)

Thanks guys. I remember long ago (high school jazz band), our band instructor told us to get ready to start rehearsal before the drummer had arrived. Someone asked, but what will we do for the rhythm? He replied ... "The rhythm is written in ALL the parts" - one of the best lessons I ever got. If your voice is present, and in the pocket ... even quarter notes on a ukelele will be a sufficient backing. The emotion comes from deep inside, and if you can sell THAT, the song works.
I really appreciate the kind words.

Our neighbor decided to learn ukulele from a guitarist friend of his, after he finally gave up the drums.
He loved it, practiced hours a day. He ended up helping heaps of people learn it.
It was a pretty small town, you’d run into someone, Col’s teaching me ukulele .
It was quite funny and heartwarming really, he enjoyed it, so wanted to spread that joy of learning an instrument to friends and neighbors.
(Tried hard to talk hubby into it, had no hope. Haha)

I only know the basic maj-min chords on it, but it's such a sweet sound ... I love it. It's the same for me on Mandolin - key of G, I'm a stud!
