If it wasn't for my arranger keyboard Tyros 4
I would be going completely nuts at home all this time so far
I am able to sit down for a few hours a few times a day
and play music & sing and take my mind off what the world
is going through.

Been playing the piano mostly and just stuf I feel like plaing but got back to the BK9 to learn a song. Always wanted to tackle "Lovely Day" and I fount a pretty good Style to do it in. "Cute Pop" so we'll se how it works out.

BTW anyone with a BK7M I just ordered a stand for it from Sweetwater. Gibraltar 6713E and a mounting plate SC Emmp A lot cheaper than the Rolane one. I Don't have it yet but looks like it will work. I'll post the results.

yes, we're doing ok ... as I've said previously, having our now 1 year old great granddaughter living with us right now is a blessing, as she is a great distraction from everything else, and is my best audience when I'm playing kb and singing ...
As long as the weather is ok, we are walking every day ... yesterday we visited my wife's sister and brother in law - outside sitting in lawn chairs, fully masked and about 12 feet apart from each other ...
Also spend some time reading some scripture, and our Church is streaming daily Mass on YouTube and face book, so we can watch anytime we want ...
Also, we try to watch our Gov's press conference each day ... other than that, we stay away from any newscast ... don't need the 'hyper-anxiety' ...
There are ways to pass the time if one looks for them ...

I have not touched the keyboard in more than 2 weeks, and to be perfectly honest, I don't have the desire. I'm too damned sick, beat up and somewhat depressed to play anything. Most of my days are spent doing pretty much nothing at all.

But I have to be honest I am wearing thin and bored continually
playing all day looking out a window. Hearing the same songs,
same styles, same sounds, the routine is getting dull, humdrum, lifeless, monotonous, etc. Oh well one of these days it will hopefully back to some kind of different normal.

Well, if he started with a full tank of gas, that should still last until around Christmas ...

I'm going to the grocery store. Only a few people allowed inside at one time. Wearing mask, etc. If I don't get out some I'm going to die from not enough exercise and too much food.
No new virus cases in our Parish (County) for three days now, although there are a lot across the river in Shreveport.
More stores reopened today...I think it's time. We old people will still have to take extreme precautions for some time though.

Now if the Toilet Paper and Paper Towel Hoarders can just get the message that the world is not going to cease making paper, we should all be doing better! Just sayin'... somewhere a lot of folks are now tripping over a garage stacked to the ceiling with Toilet Tissue and Paper Towels. Geesh.

Its something you'll always use...
or give it as Christmas presents to family and friends also.

Just be careful in the stores, Don, and clean everything before you bring it in the house ...

And, yes, we HAVE TO get out and get some exercise ...
I don't want to preach to people, and like picking a kb, everyone has to do what's best for them, but my wife and I have found that it is very important for our physical and mental health to get out and walk around the neighborhood every day, as long as it is not raining ... We are not going to catch anything from someone walking on the other side of the street, and if we see someone on the same side we cross over ... I don't care if someone believes in God, Mother Nature, or the big bang theory, this is a great time of year to be outdoors, seeing all the new growth of Spring flowers, trees budding, etc. Plus. after a 40 minute walk I feel less guilty about having a cocktail or a glass of wine with dinner ...

I got to the store and the parking lot was jammed full, so I came back home. My son is going for me.

Put many of the songs I played 20 years ago in the laptop. Play them each day.

Helping my wife cook -- sometimes I cook
Help with dog walking and feeding

SynthZone, once or twice a day

Helping the daughter and son sell the furniture and musical instruments of my musician friend who passed away recently

Reaching people who need and appreciate hearing from someone who cares

What marvel we have and now take for granted. . .
He got to the store and had lost the list I made.
I found it in the front yard where he lost it. Just took a photo with my camera and messaged it to him. Problem solved.
Didn't want to go to the bank, so took a pic and deposited check that way.
