Scott Yee is not posting and music is no longer his full time job, but I do speak with him on the phone occasionally. He has had a Korg PA1000 for the past few months and loves it.

Good to hear from you again Tony, it's been so long.Very sorry to hear about your problems. I was wondering what happened to you. Tried to e-mail you a few times. I will never be able to thank you enough for all you did for me back then when I had all my KB problems. Ended up with the PA3X and now the PA4X, very happy with that. My wife also fighting with cancer problems and we all have to be careful these days with this virus all around. Wishing you all the very best.
Kind regards
skude

HI Tony

Still have the Wersi Abacus but don’t use it much these days as I have other interests and do a lot of music on the computer, as to the weather it is great but the lockdown precludes making full use of it.

The Wersi OAS range is no longer made (Finished around 5/6yrs ago) as it has been replaced by the OAX range (The equivalent to the Abacus is the new range is the OAX1) which has some good demos here https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYgORJ0Wlys5fnJWgwUEEC60GoK94L5oi which includes its use with VSTs. (Still one of the big pluses of Wersi)
The latest software is V2.60-01, however I have gone off the latest Wersi since the V2.00 software update came out as to me it is no longer a Wersi and misses everything that a Wersi is about.

As you know I am mainly an organ guy so all the fancy styles and easy play features of an arranger while nice, are not something that I can get excited about, however if I was going for an Arranger it would still be the Korg PA4x, as while the Genos has really bought Yamaha forward (You are going to love it) it still doesn’t float my boat.
All the best

Bill

Tony,

Welcome back I wish you the best and am happy to hear your are cancer free! Enjoy your Genos.

I too like yourself and TonyMads am a prostrate cancer survivor. I was only 56 at the time mine was diagnosed. Based on my age and some other factors the only real choice was a radical prostatectomy. I've been cancer free since.
