Thank you for all the info,... The go pro seems too complicated and not directed to my needs,.. What else is in the mix there has to be more or like Don says the Zi8 could be the cheap answer for 20 bucks?
I already have a headache just thinking about video..

I much rather just play my arranger and record like I always do on board or with the Daw sounds great and so much less hassle am I right? or what?

Donny - if you have an old phone and a laptop you can use FREE software (OBS) to put together great looking videos, and either save them, or stream them. The phone is an awesome second camera that you can use independently with a simple USB cable. I don't know ANYONE who ever bought a Go Pro for sound quality. Great camera, but so-so sound.

My recent demos are on the Q8. It has much better video, but I didn't feel like messing with the settings. Easy to learn and use and has 1/4 XLR inputs. Can separate video and audio or do both. Also has interchangeable mics. Great product.

I have an old Zoom Q3 that has great audio and so so video. It appears to have two line outs, but no line in(headphone and TV). It is nothing fancy, but a decent starter.

did you use this model for all you previous You Tube video
performances in the past?
