Korg owners - Help! I am wondering if any of you know where there is a "universal listing" of the styles compatible with PA4X - a list that contains the sources of the styles?

For example, the style that DNJ played yesterday (Capri Rhumba) is not on my PA4X (which has the "Next" upgrade installed). I checked the owners manual and of course, it is not in the "original" factory styles list. So it must be in a style collection somewhere. Just wondering if there is a listing by style name which might identify when it was introduced and in what "set"? Is it a Musikant style?

Thanks to all who may have insight!

Randy here you go....Capri Rhumba
use it well .....I just can't remember where I got it from, Musikant, Dopamine, Bonusware, Corillion, etc,etc..
but I was able to get it from my Pa1000 for you as a single style.
Let us know how it works in Pa4x for you or any other KORGIES .. keys

enjoy

Thanks Donny! I downloaded all the stuff from Korg on their website yesterday but have not attempted to install any of them yet - so thanks for sending this along - I'll let you know how it goes. Did you see the demo Alois did in Germany for that style? Think he has two demos.

Thanks and have fun!

On my Pa700 I’ve installed all the styles missing from the pa1000 and Pa4x, and the musiikant styles they all seem to work well if that’s of any help. Where sounds are not present they are substituted for another.

I am hoping all my DATA from the PA 4x I had to let go of works in the PA 1000...I had about 100 saved SONG STYLES for WORSHIP I had tweaked in the SONGBOOK and about 30-50 sequences I did on the PA 4x...

That is 100's of hours, errr...THOUSANDS OF HOURS of sound design...

I understand KORG is the best Compatability wise....

Will it load???

Been a KORGIE for years and very familiar with that DEAD Forum...very little active traffic

You should know those questions rarely get answered there on that forumk....Look at all the started threads with no answers. Bunch of questions but finding answers is difficult..

I did see your question DNJ..... will be surprised if your question you asked yesterday gets answered. Very surprised....

On the good side DNJ I have the PA 1000 in my shopping cart and once my FANTOM 6 return is processed, I will pull the trigger on the PA1000, plus a 12 String Guitar

The way Korg works is newer models are fully compatible with older models. Not necessarily the other way around. PA1000 is newer than 4X, so should be no problem playing styles. There may be some voices that are substituted, not sure.
The Songbook is another thing though. It will load the PA4X Songbook, but unless the styles are in the exact same locations you will need to "find" them and resave each Songbook entry.
I'm not much into sequences, but they should work just fine I would think.

Steve good luck...I think you'll be ok with your choice.
What didn't work on the new Roland Fantom 6 ?...
I was interested in it myself a few weeks ago...

The Fantom is NOT an Arranger....If you wanna build from scratch you go WORKSTATION...I don't wanna build from total scratch.

What I like about the PA Series is it is an Arranger AND a Workstation...I build with the Arranger a sequence & then go in depth editing by using the sequenced song in the Workstation...

That is my workflow
