Mitch, Great work I enjoyed listening. When I think of jingles I can’t help thinking about PAMS the company that produced radio jingles.

Thanks Steve. I seem to remember PAMS, as well TM out of Dallas and Tuesday Productions out of San Diego. They were competition. When we built a fairly large recording studio back in the mid 70’s...little did we know at the time that the digital world would pretty much wipe out the large facilities. Guys were working out of their basements, which made it tough for a commercial facility to survive.

For severals, when in the ad agency biz, I contracted with two guys in Philly who created music beds and custom jingles in the basement of a brownstone. I had access to Pams and TM but not the budgets.

Back in the 60’s and 70’s, Chicago was probably the hot spot for radio and tv jingles. The jingle king was Dick Marx (father of pop star Richard Marx). I remember walking into his Tape library and seeing rows and rows of 2 inch Master tapes with names like Kellogg’s and United Airlines written on the boxes. One of his big ones was “two scoops of raisins in a package of Kellogg’s Raisin Bran”. Even his son, Richard started his career as a jingle singer,”My dog’s bigger than your dog”. His wife, Ruth Marx takes the cake though by singing one word “Quasar”. Netted her a cool 250k.

I do remember that singing with one word, I can still hear it too. Not a bad day’s pay!
