Not in general; I love 'em!
But in particular, my beloved Roland EA7 is on the way to a new home, probably temporary.
In it's place is a shiny Ketron SD7, for the third time.
The first time I had one it was just not ready, unreliable, full of bugs, etc.
The second time I had one, it was much better, most of the bugs gone.
Still it has it's shortcomings, as they all do.
This time I think the difference will be in the large number of excellent styles and sounds in AJ's packages.
We'll see...I'm hoping it works out. All my old Registrations work just fine, but I'm looking forward to adding/replacing a large number.
By the way, this will almost certainly guarantee that both Korg and Roland will be releasing fantastic new arrangers. smile
I'm committing to making this thing work for me this time around. AJ is sending me an FS6 foot pedal and the new styles. Both are essential to me.
I will be doing some videos showcasing the new Country styles, and maybe some others.

Don, now why am I not surprised smile smile

I have no doubt you will make it shine and that you will come to love it once you get the hang of it again. As you know I updated last week from SD7 to SD9 but only because it was an opportunity too good to pass on. The SD7, once you start digging into it and programming it to your liking is the real McCoy allright. It is a band backing the singer, nothing more nothing less. As you know I recorded my recent youtube song "Roller Coaster "( cover) with the sole use of the SD7.

regards,
John

P.S. check your email smile

I wouldn't ever be in the market for an SD9 or SD60 because the keys are too heavy, and on the 9 the wheels are not located where I like them, and I prefer joystick.
If I were to do something different with Ketron it would have to be SD90, but that's unlikely at least for now.
