What have you done arranger wise the last 3 months...
would love to hear what people have been doing with their arranger keyboards musically during the last 3 month off and not being able to play out, no gigs, stuck at home, etc, etc,. Please share so that maybe we can learn some things from each other.
Are you practicing new stuff, reorganizing your rig,
buying new gear, learning new songs, learning piano,
updating your song repertoire, etc,etc,...

anyone?

Sold my PSR S950 and Maui 5 amp. Gave away a Yamaha YPG525 keyboard to a school music program. Kept my PSR S975 and a PA system which I doubt I'll ever use again for gigs. Explored the 975, rearranged and cleaned up my registrations. Bought a new tablet to better see my Mobile Sheets and lyrics and above all play the music I like to play. The senior circuit gigs are no longer there and by the time they may open up, I'm too old and too lazy to start gigging. Practice daily for about an hour. No more pressure on what to play and for whom to play setting up play lists, transporting equipment, setting up, breaking down. Makes me tired already just writing this. Enjoying my free time.

Just working on a few new songs, watching You Tube movies, and watching the world go to Hell.

Gerry although a very sad situation....at least your keeping busy with your arranger kb and making changes which is always good. Setting up for gigs shouldn't be a burden it's just part of the profession we have chosen.
In this game you gotta LOVE it or it becomes a job..
and then it's time to quit. Remember playing music for people is a gift and you should always cherish & embrace it,
especially when you compare it to other worser occupations..
good luck with your music.

Actually played a few gigs, outside and hot ! Doing one tonight for my communities "food truck Friday" at our pool area.
I'm constantly revamping Styles , edit, edit edit. Now that I have a new two tier stand where the second tier can be adjusted to not cover the top of the keyboard I'm editing in some D Beam effects on Styles. Fun to play with.
Spent a lot of time messing around with my Harmony M vocal processor and even bought a TC Helicon Duplicator to try out. Sent it back but wish I would of kept it.
Decided against both, too distracting but the TC did do a nice job and very simple to use.
Also been learning a new tune a week. Some for playing out, some just because. EX. Find 100 Ways. Don't know if I can do it justice but I like the tune since I heard Joey D do an organ version of it.
And just for me time, playing the piano alone. Keeps the musical mind sharp.

Doing a daily short update video for employees of an automobile manufacturer. 10 minutes. Start at 6:00 AM, post at noon. Get input from Japan (the president and VP of Communications). Sometimes they send me footage. I have done about 4 simple tracks for the updates. I'm actually using the arranger for the final, because of the timing. Never did that before.

Also did a 20 minute rough for my Italian staircase customer.

Arrangers are GREAT for roughs and demos.
