Saw that a while a go, and yes - very interesting. Their knowledge was larger than the written notation.

Don't be fooled the Beatles had hundreds of people driving their car to success.
A money making cash cow at the right time in history changing music for ever.

It always appeared to me that George had the most knowledge of music theory, as shown by his usage of unique chord changes.

John and Paul relied on George heavily to put their ideas to music. It appeared that George began to resent that over time as he was always limited to song contributions on albums.

I actually didn’t watch this particular video at all. I am basing my impressions on the biographies of George Harrison, George Martin, Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, and multiple general Beatle Biographies. I will watch this one though.

I haven't seen the video, but I agree with what Donny is saying. I love the Beatles, but they had some amazing collaborators. George Martin, and Billy Preston, and probably so many more.

Talented guys for sure, but they didn't do everything on their own. If they had, I don't think we'd be talking about them now.

I remember someone mentioning the song ‘Yesterday’ began life as ‘Scrambled Eggs’.

Lennon and McCartney were every bit as good at writing as George and Ira, Rogers and Hammerstein, and any other prolific composer. Sure they had help - smart people know how to delegate, but the genius is in the writing.

No doubt in my mind that they weren't genius. Every super star performer
has their support team behind them.
