Has anyone else had a message in red on Psr Tutorial saying they’ve been banned due to sending personal messages?

I’ve not even done this and no way of contacting the admin.

Maybe he read this post and can look into it?

Apparently os was because I’d been sharing music books on the group, I hadn’t even read the email previously asking for music books not to be shared.

Sharing Material

Beginning January 1, 2020, members who wish to share material such as midi files, music sheets, style files, etc. with other members should upload that material to their personal online storage account and then share the link to this material in a forum topic or reply. Members have been sharing MP3s with this method for several years. Members should not upload files, in topics or replies, as attachments, which would be stored on the forum server. Exception to this rule would be photos or text files, which are beneficial for visual instruction.

There are many online storage services available, some of which are free. A few examples of online storage services are as follows: Microsoft OneDrive, Box.com, Google Drive, etc.

Attachments

In some cases the use of attachments may be an appropriate way of sharing files and information. There is a limit on the size of attachments. For any single attachment, the maximum file size allowed is 7 MB. Up to 3 attachments, totaling less than 21 MB, can be added to a single post.

There is also a constraint on the kind of files allowed as attachments enforced by monitoring the files extension (file type). Allowable attachments include:
- text files (txt, doc, docx, pdf, rtf),
- picture files (jpg, jpeg, gif, mpg, png),
- music files (mid, kar, wav, mp3),
- Yamaha files (sty, prs, set, fps, vce, rgt, mfd, pad), and
- Other (zip, xls, xlsx, mcsz, mxl, m2s).

The matter has been resolved, I was using Google Drive. It was due to the volume of songbooks I was sharing. But have since started using another platform to share songbooks on.

I am banned from Psr Tutorial forum also.
I have no idea why. I haven't gone there in a long time.
would someone please help me to get back on there?

Quote from the PSR Tut guidelines:

"To maintain an active account, after logging into the forum for the first time, a member must login to the forum at least once in 2 years (730 days) or the account will be removed (deleted) from the Member List. The 2 year time requirement is reset each time a member logs in using their forum account. Please be advised that logging in as a guest will not fulfill this requirement. You must login using your Username and password for your forum account."

Maybe it's that you've been away as long, and if so, you probably just have to reregister. 😊

It was because of the volume of music books I was sharing to the forum.

Maybe try login as a guest, and open a thread to post about the problem?
Or send a email to Roger Brenizer ( rlbrenizer@rlbrenizer.com ) who is one of administrators at the PSR Tut forum.
(He has posted his emailadress in a post at the guidelines, so I guess it's OK to copy it)
If Gary (travlin'easy) look into this thread, he might be able to help you as well, but it looks like he is not as much active here these days.
