I feel I should explain my recent absence at the forum. Reason one is that I am going through a very annoying recuperation from hernia surgery, and the other that I am intending to post some videos only after I have reached a more suitable level for the public eye. I felt I had to jump into videos to test the waters, amateurish or not.

Gary, my friend, when I started to feel beset upon, with an Aortic aneurysm operation performed in March. and an invasive Inguinal hernia repair(ha; misnomer) 6/25/22. I thought of you soldiering on in the face of adversity.

I think I shall take a lesson from you, and get on the stick.

Thanks guys, I guess I needed that encouragement. As much as I try to remain positive, I get pulled the other way at times. I tried playing a few songs yesterday, and my motivation came rushing back. I am not stopping again if I can help it, it is too counterproductive. Videos are tougher to get right than I thought, an element completely foreign to me, but no turning back now. It is easier knowing that I have known most for over twenty years, however.

Don’t worry about making music for others, recording, videos, that sort of stuff.

At this point in your recovery, the whole point is to make music for yourself, to lift your spirits. Don’t set goals, don’t sing if you aren’t up for it, don’t create pressure on yourself to do new songs unless it’s easy…

Make yourself happy, concentrate on your recovery and staying positive. There’s always time to do it for others later, when it isn’t an effort.

Just play… it doesn’t matter what, why or when! 🎹♥️😎

You have floored me with your humanistic approach in that, to me, you have been quite technical, and sometimes quite vocal about your stand on an issue, but not so much the personal.

I am not being cheeky saying I appreciate seeing a glimpse of your soft underbelly and thoughtful sentiments, as I am sure you wouldn't want to see mine at present lol
