Haha, good one Diki. Don’t know what went wrong but my password stopped working. Usually I stay logged in, but something went wrong.
Need a bit of light relief, so toxic over on the Korg PA5x forum, currently.

I’ve been keeping an eye open over there. To be honest, the toxicity seems pretty natural. Remember, a large percentage over there are long time pro power users and have been with Korg for decades. Migration needs to be simple and seamless, and Korg have massively screwed the pooch there. Major chunks of functionally haven’t even been added to the OS yet, and some of the primary gigging systems, particularly the Songbook, are buggy and incomplete.

I think some of the toxicity comes from non-power users doing the usual leaping to defend poor, misunderstood Korg (after all, who wants a $5000 purchasing decision completely derided?!) from criticism they don’t even understand (hard to understand being mad about migration if you’re not even making the migration - especially if not a working pro).

But charging $5000 for a product nowhere near ready for release to players of the previous generation is going to generate a lot of derision. This hasn’t been Korg’s finest hour, that’s for sure! And their almost complete lack of communication about the issues and a realistic roadmap to the completion of the product is quite honestly guaranteed to generate scorn and toxicity.

IMHO, Korg dropped the PA5x a year early.
