My good friend, Bernie Ackerman, who reside in the sunshine state, introduced me to this song last week. Country singer Toby Keith wrote and performed the song shortly after meeting with Clint Eastwood on a golf course. He asked Eastwood how he manages to keep so active, to which Eastwood said "I just don't let the old man in." When I heard it, I realized that was what kept me going as well. Two days ago, I put a small green house together, and yesterday, I began work on a new table project, an end table made of Mappa Burl and epoxy finished.
From the very first time I heard the song, I knew I had to record it using my old, Yamaha S-950 keyboard, and what little lung capacity I had remaining, which is just 14 percent of normal.
