I just bought a Ketron Eventx module from AJ and while I am just getting acquainted with it, I find it simply awesome in sound and functionality.

I also want to give AJ a big "atta boy" for his service. He has gone out of his way to help this old duffer, and even called me Sunday to see if I needed any help and if I was satisfied.

Congratulations Bernie!!

The Ketron EventX is the most advanced Arranger Module plus you have AJ’s expert guidance.

Looking forward to a detailed review from you once you get familiar with all the features.

Best,

David

Hello friends!

When I bought my EventX I was looking to see one in person first. No such beast existed at the time, at least in Florida. I finally bought one from Thormann's.They happily sold me one, and I happily purchased it.

Later on I discovered AJ's videos and wish he was involved in the purchase. I'm registered now with him and visit that forum. I need to make more time to learn it all! -charley

Congratulations Charley!!

What did you have to do to account for the change in voltage from 230v/50Hz to 120v/60Hz?

All new KETRON products run on 110v ~ 240v (automatic voltage regulating adaptors/power). Just plug - and play.

Thanks, guys for all your support all these years.

I am also looking into the EVM......

Are you satisfied with it ?

I realize that there is no such thing as the perfect arranger but are there any disappointments ?

Did you purchase the Bundle ?

Any problems with installing AJAMSONIC Products ?

I would like to use my DGX-670 as the controller but I am concerned that the DGX has no Midi Outs only USB Audio....

>>>AJ:- The EVENT X can accept USB Midi as well.

I figured I'd jump in and answer the parts I believe Burnie cannot answer within your questions above and leave the rest to him to answer as directed.

The DGX-670 has MIDI IN/OUT via the USB output, which also sends and receives audio signals since it has a built in audio interface, unlike Genos 1 ... rotf2

The problem is that the DGX-670 has no old fashioned 5 DIN MIDI IN and OUT-put ports, and that's why you would need a USB Host to MIDI IN/OUT (5 Din) converter. Yamaha tries to save money by not including the old fashioned IN and OUT-puts, sadly they also didn't include a dedicated LEFT and RIGHT Output for the DGX-670, you have to use the headphone output computer.

Oh well here is the link:

Maybe there are other ones out there, cheaper, I'm not sure, you can do some research, or someone else might chip in on the subject, but Kenton has good reviews.

Post Update: If the Event X accepts MIDI USB than you don't need what I suggested.

You mentioned "The EVENT X can accept USB Midi". Does this mean the "EVM"
can accept USB Midi as well.
