As a recent KN7000 owner I'd like to know if someone knows how to move or export some of my KN5000 rythmns into the KN7000. Probably the best place to move them to is under the custom button of the KN7000.

By the way I love this forum as a place to post questions. I saw a post about something going away due to lack of interest, I hope its not this forum.

kn5000 format loads direct, you just need to copy any 5000 custom rhythms to composer first and save the composer version in the 5000, the rest is straightforward. Load into the 7k, tweak, then copy from composer to custom in the 7k.

Forgive me as I might be a little dense on this topic as I've never done this, however to perhaps be a little more clear. What I want to copy are some of the original rythmns that come with the KN5000 not custom rythmns that someone created. As an example the KN5000 has a great Shuffleboogie and Shuffle Ballad that are great that came with the KN5000. I'd like to capture them and move them to my KN7000 in the custom button. Is that the same as what you understood? I've never moved anything into the composer before so I'm on thin ice. Thanks for your help.

it's a shame that the official Technics KN7000 web site has now closed - I made all the styles for free download a long time ago now and they were all available there for quite a few years.

You could do the job yourself by copying the presets to composer, saving them, loading into the 7k then copying to custom.

However it is probably easier if I mail the styles to you in single custom format. You can load these direct to the 7k custom section with the Custom Style Load in the Disk or SD menu. Then save the customs on the 7K.

I'll mail the original 200 styles to you; unzip, the simplest will be to copy to a floppy and load through the menu described above. They will be a 1.8MB attachment.

Thanks to all who helped on this matter I've received zipped files with I believe are 150 rythmns from the KN5000. I now need to figure out which of these are the 15 that I want to put onto the KN7000. Additionally Ken I have tried several times to get to the web page you mentioned but cannot connect to it for some reason.
Again thanks to all this is a great BBS for we who are unskilled with the KN7000 at present. Perhaps one day we will be able to help someone else.
