Dave, you asked:
Bob: I have been neglecting the Tips and Tricks page on my site lately and wondering if you have any new tips/tricks that you have not posted yet?

I still get a lot of mail from the "How To" web site and a lot of it is from KN6000 owners. There have been a number of questions that I felt should be put on the site but I just haven't found time to do it. My teaching schedule has increased too much. I'll let you know if I make any additions. Alec and Bill are doing such a good job on the KN6000 forum that a web site like mine is not needed for that keyboard.

Bob,

You say that a web site like yours is not needed for the KN6000 because of the info on the technote forum - I disagree. The problem with the forum (as with any forum) is that postings drop off after a while. What would be useful is a site like yours that contains a well organised collection of 'how to's', tips and tricks, etc. But, as you say, that all takes time.

Mike

Your point is well taken, Mike. Alec P. has done some great "tutorials" for the KN6000 that many of the KN6000 players have copied from the Technote forum to keep in their own books. But, many of the tutorials are now gone from the forum. Maybe Dave Ross can get an OK from Alec to put his tutorials on Dave's Tips and Tricks page. I need to keep my site limited to the KN5000.

Hi,
I think one of the reasons some of us don't post questions or other topics is because we do not have the latest and greatest in Technic keyboards and most of the activity on this board is usually about the KN6000 and KN5000. I have a KN1500 (hopefully will update in another year or two)and most of the time current topics don't apply. I am interested in the "tips and trick" if anyone has some that apply to my keyboard. On the other hand I enjoy very much reading this board to see what is going on out there in the keyboard world. I have previously bought two Technic organs, but I really prefer my KN1500 because of it many sounds and portability.

Happy key thumping,
Lucky Kelly

Hi All,
Never heard back from Joanne at Whitley Bay Organs, UK (it's been over a week now), so I assume that purchasing (overseas) from them may not be a good option now. Never heard back from LowTec (aka Tony) either. He must be really enjoying his new EW01 board. Just wish he would share his experiences with us. Tony?

I had two of Alec Pagida's KN6000 tutorials (9 and 10) on my 'tips and tricks' page and removed them today. I had discussed adding the others with Alec. This may be done at a later date.

Hi Frank Thanks for the Xmas Song I emailed you but had no reply. If you want to know about the KN6000 Hard drive I have had one for a year, the full version, I also have the Daughter board (EW01 )We are now on version 7 (keyboard ) and Version 1.0 of the hard drive. This is not the last upgrade I reckon it will be some months yet before this happens . I am really disgusted with all this, Technics tell us nothing Anyway if anyone wants to know about what is happening, then just drop me a note.

Also, did I read (or did I just imagine it -wishful thinking?) that Technics is going to be releasing an EW02 board in the future for the KN6000 and that the KN6000 has space to accomodate both the EW01 an EW02 boards simultaneously?

There are 2 empty slot's inside the KN6000 so there is room for 2 cards there. Rumor suggests an EWO2 will be out soon. We shall see. I have ordered my EWO1 and am waiting for it now.

Nice to see some conversation here. I had about quit checking this one out, usually just read the Arranger Forum here.

I don't know what will come first Marilyn - an EWO2 - or a kn6500!. It has been rumoured that there will be one out in a few months, and it's more than just a rumour now i think - and only a matter of time before there is a kn6500 (or whatever) out. If this post here is anything to go by that is... http://www.technote.com/rw/kn6000/messages/4363.html
