Hi all,
I have just added "Almost Like A Song" to my website http://home.earthlink.net/~shcox/id2.html That you can down load. It should be in KN7000 format. But since I have to convert it from the PR54 I never know if it will play until someone tries it.
If you do not have "'Til There Was You" (done in a Beatles Version Style) you might want to try it also.

shcox... Couldn't get it. I downloaded the zip file and tried to extract it. ...Nothing... Can you not post it as an mp3? Just out of curiosity, is this a rendition of Ronnie Milsap's "Almost like a Song"..if so...it's a great number, just wish I could have heard it.
Hi Heather - Just listened to your "Almost like a song" on my KN7000 and it played fine.
It reads as 70s Ballad. The sounds that are named on the screen are not the sounds heard.
i.e. Panel 1 showed Jazz Vibes, Panel 2 showed Vocal Ah, Panel 3 showed as Country Guitar, Panel 4 showed as Nashville Steel
The Technichord feature was on and set to Conductor and Country.
Panel 1-3 came across as a Piano sound, and Panel 4 as a Nashville type guitar.
I was not familiar with the song but it came across as a very good melody, well played, and suitable for the style chosen. I would not have necessarily realised that it was not correctly sounding the instruments named if I hadn't been looking at this sort of detail to let you know how it came across.
How do you convert from PR54 to KN7?
Hope this is what you wanted to know.
I had no problem downloading it or unzipping it. Joan
The file downloaded, unzipped and loaded on the PR804 with no problem. Same issue on what Joan & Fran said about the sound in panel memories. Curious to know if you intentionaly used R1 piano sound on panels 1-3, with Technichord.
JOAN: You asked how to convert from PR54 to KN7? A binary hex editor is used to change some code identifying the model ID. PR owners have to find ways to beat the Technics compatibility issue. Even between PR to PR...

Hi Joan,
Thanks for the details. When you refer to "Panel 1 showed Jazz Vibes ...." What shows Jazz Vibes? The R1 or R2. I think I only used R1 Grand Piano for melody until Panel Memory 4 then it changes to Nashville Steel
It does sound as if it plays OK.
Up until the KN7000 Anthony is correct that you just needed to change some header information at the beginning of the files. But I have found that there is other information in the middle of one of the files that is not aways compatible between models.

Hi Heather, looking forward to you eventually converting more of your songs to MP3 format so more of us can enjoy them. This way, no matter what brand/model keyboard people have (as well as for people who don't even own a keyboard), your songs can be heard. - Scott
