Hi all musician friends.
I am happy to report that this is a good place for us to move to from where we were.
I will be logging in here every day as I used to on the other forum. I think this one is much more friendly and not trying to peddle their wares to us.
Peace from BEBOP

Hi to all new synth Zone Technics forum members.
I have just received a super nice letter from Nigel advising us that this is our new home for all former Technote members. Welcom to the Synthzone. I am to be the administrator and thanks to Nigel for that too, (I think).
Please register and lets all hear from each other as often as you have anything to share or questions that need answering. I am sure there will be many here that can speak to your questions. I will try my best also.
Best to all of you from:

Hi Bebop
Congratulations on finding a new forum for the disgruntled former technote members. You've put a lot of time in over the last few days and it's paid off. I also echo your thanks to Nigel

Hi! Glad we are back in business. I sure am sorry to see our Technotes Forum fall to pieces. I have read the General Arranger Forum here at Synthzone for a long time. Now I think the Technic's Forum is gonna take off! Thanks for getting it all together!

I am pleased to find you folks on this forum. Technote has so many restrictive rules that they now have a very unfriendly forum management. If you do not permit cookies with your browser you can't even get to their forums now. Thank you Nigel, for a wonderful place for Technics players to meet.

Hi Bebop, Thanks for the new site. I have read the general forum here for some time, but never registered before. Thanks to Marilyn for suggesting this site. To my mind it is a friendler site. Thanks also to Niguel. I am not very computer savy and wll have to get use to terms like UBB code? and HTML?. I am sure it will take off rapidly. Thanks again for the opportunity to express our views and share music, thoughts and styles with one another. Dave Shively

Hi Folks

Well, it seems that you've found the way to
this nice Technics forum too.

Sad story about what happened at Technote
forum, but there is probably a reason for it.
Things was on the way to be real great, but
for how long was Adam and Eve in the Paradise?
Hopefully, one day things will come back to
normal.
Have fun.

Hi Gunnar,
Thanks for coming over and posting. I forgot to mention in my email that Gunnar also reminded me of the synthzone and this forum so I want to give him credit as well as Marilyn. Thanks to you both and a big thanks to Nigel from:

Bebop,
I'm not just "coming over", I've been here
for quite a while, both here and at Technote
and several others....
It's a kind of strange now, I've always told
Technics users to visit Technote to find all
kinds of answers for tricky questions, and
Nigel is a great administrator, he gives us
plenty of space under the roof as long as we
are desent people, and that is what we are
going to be,is'nt it?

My sincere thanks to all who helped resolve the ridiculous situation.Hopefully, we will now be able to communicate without all these draconian restrictions. I'm really impressed by my first visit to this site and am ashamed to say, I did not know of it's existance - Sheltered Life :-))
Looking forward to good future relationships with you all.

Hi All
Nice to see some familiar names have made the transition across the pond

Yes it is sad about Technote & what is worse it seems they do not want to listen to their core bread & butter I feel they are being totally stupid by adopting the attitude that they have
I am sure that Matsushita (look not edited to Matsu****a)will not be at all happy :-((
anyway better things to come :-))
all the best Johnnie

Greetings Everyone,
It is just great to see you all. A very big THANK YOU to Nigel and Bill and of course to GJ, who seems to have a sensible answer to almost any question that comes along. I’ve been working on new orchestrations for the past two months, which I’ll be pleased to share when the project is complete. Please, let’s just move through this little detour and get to the business at hand, which is music.

Dear BEBOP: Thanks so much for leading us to this new Technics Forum page. Perhaps we can all get back to where we were before the old Forum was "destroyed" and, on the new Forum, we had to wade through extraneous postings, without the specific places we used to be able to find. I am looking forward to being with musical friends again and sharing thoughts, ideas, styles, songs, etc. without censorship! Thanks for your diligent work on our behalf!

Hi All...
Wow!
How interesting! Suddenly the Technics Forum here is springing to life! I've been here on SyhtnZone a long time and this particular Forum has always been rather, uh... quiet.
I was last active way back in the Technics Canada Forum, which came to a grinding halt when the 6000 was released and there were a lot of user complaints.
I've tried the Technote Forum here and there, but never followed it closely. What was the horrible thing that has happened to drive all you people away?
Oh, yes, I play my KN5000. I'd like to have a KN6500, but we can't always have everything we want, right?

Hi Tom
Well, it's almost spring, and then the flowers
use to get ready to blossom

Lately it has happened a lot at Technote, but
I guess the ones dead is anothers bread, as they
use to say...
If you're quick, you might have time to read the
latest posts before they delete it. If so, you'll
probably see the whole story here during the next
days or so. Sad, but true

Hey it's great so see all the new members from the Technote forum. BEBOP got in touch with me about this and to see if it would be OK if a number of members used the Synth Zone Technics forum. And of course you are all very welcome. It is fantastic to see new life on what has been a quiet forum to date. And I see Gunnar Jonny ,TomTomSF, Bob and Frank are here to welcome you as well. These guys plus many others on the Synth Zone BBS have an incredible collective knowledge about keyboards, especially Arranger Keyboards. And I'm sure you new members will add even more to the pool of experience.

Commercewise I can guarantee a POPUP FREE ZONE. Apart from the page top banner there is no other advertising to put up with. I allow music businesses the occasional product announcement on the forums but if that is abused I delete the postings and the ability to post. If you wish to prevent your email address from being made available then that is an option in the "Profile" menu (near the top of the BBS pages).

I hope it becomes a thriving source of Technics information for you all.

Cheers,
Nigel

Hi all

I've posted this message at my tread with the 'Open letter to Technote'. I think that it might fit in here too, because many of you use the link stright to this topic, so I'll take the risk to repeat it:

The 'Jungle Telegraph'is a very strong tool, and that tool have been spoken for Technotes benefit for a long time. Now they've managed to turn it against themselves.
Now, when our blood is "heated up to the high level", we most not forget that Technote has been a great place, and that our goal is not to make any more damage, but get things sorted out so we could carry on the good things we was a part of, even if it look like that's never going to happen right at the moment.

Myself, I have tried to reach in to the Technote admin by use of the forum, because this is a common matter for all of us who where regulary users/members, instead of use a e-mail directly to Nik or Graham. But you have all seen what happened.

Please, don't make this to a war against Technote, but rather see it as we are no longer welcome to use the service as we was lucky to be a part of. They don't want let any of us know about the facts why they act like they do, and as already said, there most be a reason. Until we know more about the exact reason, and no users have got any personal message about it, there is nothing more we can do about it than look into ourselves and see if there was something illegal things we did. If it's so, then we have to be careful and not repeat it here at this forum so we have to go through it all again. Even if the "space under the roof" is quite high here at Nigel's forums, there is no need to jump higher than nessesary.

This is my final comment on this matters, unless there is coming any comments from Technote to be replied.
Let's look forward, enjoy and have fun with the music, and use this forum in a proper way so that Nigel don't have to step in and calm us down too often

Kind regards
GJ

The rest of the story you'll find here:
http://www.synthzone.com/ubbs/Forum25/HTML/000297.html

So as Graham say, LOOK FORWARD.

Well, I can't resist, can I?
Just a little friendly note:

If you want to avoid the big quotes, then
use the big white reply button at the top,
or that one at the bottom of the page instead
of the little one in the topic/reply.
If you want to keep some of the quote, just
delete the lines unwanted in the quote from
the window you write the reply in.

Imagine how our posts would look like if
every post is quoted
Gonna be a loooooonnnnnnggggggg page, eh?

Gunnar and Bebop... Once again you are the voice of reason. We are all feeling to a degree like jilted lovers and at this point we are enraged that our 'friends' over there won't even talk to us .... but they did warn us of that in their new statement .... In short time we will get back to the nitty gritty of helping each other solve music related problems ... and BTW .. which is better, the kn6 or the .....just kidding ...
