Can someone list the new or revised sound groups, rhythm groups, styles, etc. that are on the 7000 that were either not on or changed from those of the 5000/6500? I am still trying to justify why I should change from my 6500 to the new keyboard without some very concrete reasons! I have not been able to see or play the 7000 "in person", so I have to rely on comments made here in the Forum by those of you who have the instrument. They are apparently very scarce and hard to find here in the USA. Thanks to all my American, UK, European, Australian/New Zealand and other friends who are always so accommodating in responding to my questions here on the Forum. You are all very special to me and I thank you in advance!

Perhaps a little away from the technical side of things, I changed from the KN6000 to the KN7000 very recently, from my point of view I initially found that I questioned my decision to change.
I am now completely sold on the new keyboard, the regulars in the small Irish pub I am resident in at weekends have all commented on the sound of the KN7000, for some reason it appears to be a more mellow sound than the 6000 and more pleasing on the ear, a lot of my drum and bass tracks are on midi, I find the new SD card very, very fast to access now that I've got used to it, I no longer feel the need to use floppy's. The ability to record the keyboard and audio through my computer set up is, for me, a great asset, I've already made my first recordings and burned, by request, a few copies for those who have asked for them, the quality is superb, the recording that is!.
I have had the KN3000, 5000 and 6000 and can honestly say that the KN7000 is most certainly well worth having a look at, just give yourself a bit of time with it and it will grow on you.. sincere regards from the Emerald Isle..

true, the sd is used the same way as you used to use floppies but with a huge number of added advantages. If Alan has investigated the midi playlist options this gives you great potential for pre-programming 99 possible sets to cater for all different moods etc with virtual instant load. Once you've used sd you'll never touch a floppy again.

The sounds are greatly improved such as the strings. They now sound pure and sweet compared to the 6500.
The new organ sounds alone are worth the change from the 6500. I am new to the 7000, having owned it only a month but it is a joy to play, each day I marvel at at the sounds and rhythms.
I have not explored the SD as yet but I know that in the future it will be very useful.
I have a couple of friends who are organist's and keyboard players. They heard the 7000 and are waiting for their own 7000's to be delivered.
This is my opinion but playing it believing.

it's a 'danger' question to people who has the K7 . Trying to be objective I should think it is not only the difference in sounds, styles etc. Afterall you can, what style/sound ever, load into the keyboard.
I made my choice f.e. on a few for me important and concrete 'features'as:
- new sampled sound(generator);
- 128 polyfony
- possibility of 4 waveboards
- lovely organsounds
- the SD-card!
- the USB/computer feature!
- video-out (althought I'v not used it yet)
- supplementary also the personal feelings as: the deeply sound, the touch and the design.
And last but no least,: my wife was OK, we eat only dry bread now

Thanks everybody who responded to my 7000 query! I have received no negative comments or feedback at all and am becoming more and more excited about the possibility of upgrading from my 6500! Now if I can just find a dealer in the USA. I am disillusioned with my local dealer, who has quoted an outrageous price (probably because he has no competition at all and is free to ask whatever he wants!! He seems unwilling to order a 7000 until and unless I make a commitment to purchase and I don't want to do so until I can see and play one. So, I continue to be frustrated here. How I wish I could be in the UK where it seems the 7000 is readily available! Anyway, thanbks again for your comments; I will continue to search for a dealer and hope to be able to see and play the fabulous 7000 soon!
