There seems to be a screw up at the hotel. I will be contacting the manager early this moring to find out what is going on. We do have a signed contract so one way or another we will have a jam.

I will post my findings as soon as I have them. It's not like this is happening tomorrow so there is plenty of time to straighten it out.

Happy Holiday Wishes

I talked with Steve the manager and I was assured that everything is OK. The woman we both talked to simply was looking in the incorrect place fir the information.

We currently have 19 rooms reserved for our use and the meeting room is booked for us for the full 3 days.

It is however important to tell them you are booking a room for the "KEYBOARD CONVENTION" That is how it is listed in the computer. It is not under Sythzone, my name or any other name.

Please forgive any confusion this has caused.

Happy Holidays

Hi Heather - thank you for your prompt reply to this, I am sure that Bill will be pleased to read this before he leaves for his Christmas holidays.

There are a couple of sayings over here

"You just can't get the staff these days"

"The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing"

It looks as if this also applies to the Microtel there - Joan

Hi Heather: Many thanks for getting the Microtel meeting room mess straightened out so expeditously. We can only hope the folks at Microtel keep things on track now.

Because of my limited 'time off' in April, and because I also want to visit Disney Epcot, I'm only going to be able to make it for the LAST day (Sunday, April 17th) of the Synthzone Florida Jam event. I plan to arrive EARLY though, to make a full day of it.

I've gone ahead and reserved a room at the Microtel Inn for Sunday Night (4/17). Curious if any other attendees will be staying there till Monday as well. I believe Bill, Joan, and Roger are, right?

Heather,

Your on the ball. Thanks much for taking care of the confusion.

Joan,

In the U.S. service is almost non-existant. Surprised to hear that the Brit's are in the same fix.

Scott,

Wish you could be there for the full event, however we could not ask for a better finish. Sounds like a good time for the pro's to Jam.

Fran in Florida

I just made our reservation for the "keyboard Convention" for 4/16/05, and they were real nice, and knew exactly what I was talking about.

You all have a great time at the Jam. I won't be there anyway. But I wish you all great meeting and sharing.

Hi Rog, I'm really looking forward to seeing you again, albeit on the opposite coast this time. Remembering what a blast we had at the West Coast SZ Jam, I anticipate this one (with far more attendees), to be 'even more' FUN!

Rog, Bill, & Joan: Great to hear you guys will be 'staying over' on Sunday night, as I was begining to get a little worried that everybody might have left by then. I look forward to playing & jammin' with you guys.

Hi Bebop: I'm trhilled to hear that you, Jann, & Rocky will be there. It'll be a treat to finally have a chance to checkout your cool new motorhome. I'm Curious which keyboard(s) and/or music equipment (if any) you're taking on this East Coast SZ Jam motorhome trip. You bringing your Motion Sound KP200?

Hi All,

While I will not be there Sunday overnight I live close enough that I'll be there all day. Sadly I have to return to work on Monday.

Scott,
That's the nice thing of having it for 3 days, everyone can have a chance to get there for some part of it even if it's only for a day.

I'm really excited about meeting everyone.

I was not worried about the hotel confusion as long as Steve was still there. The entire ECJ team met with him so I knew it had to be a mix up. If I had called and a different manager was there it would have been time to worry even with a contract.

Happy Holidays

Heather, I would hate to see a new manager get whooped by 40 mad musicians
Scott, I will prolly bring the MotionSound Amp to use along the way as well. Maybe to go back to making a living if I don't go back home Last time we went to Florida in the RV, we didn't get back home for 5 great and glorious years
I will bring the KN7000 and maybe even load the PSR9000 in the basement, for you to use.
Jann can't get away for the lenght of time Rocky and I will be touring so she will fly into Florida and we will pick her up and bring her to the Jamm.
Looking forward to seeing you all there.
Thanks again to Heather, Fran and Dan for putting this on for us. It will be fun
Merry Christmas to all
