Hi folks ,please can someone tell me if it is ok to transport on gigs the KN7000 with the SD card in the slot ???

Don't worry about it...There are no moving parts...

Unlike a floppy which can cause damage

As a precaution, keep your SD card 'locked' when not in use or travelling.

Do you mean will it fall out - well I've never had that happen to me me as it's kind of double locked in...

When The 7000 first came out, I was told to never turn the machine on or off with the SD in the slot. There was a risk of deleting the info.

completely untrue advice!

the risk is switching off while the "write" light is still working for save (a pretty obvious stupid thing to do) and even then the data can be retrieved with the right software in the vast majority of cases.
