I would like to echo Trevor's remarks. Wheras much was made of the complexity of the SD card,in reality,it was merely the new concept that threw us. It is simple once you grasp the mechanics, and, all of the advantages it gives me as a gigging musician is tremendous. Bernie

When you want to load a song you can set up the KB to either select by Folder (each folder holds 20 selections), or by Title (alphabetical), or by number. I find that the number system is the easiest. For instance if a particular song is located in folder 22, position 17, you just type in 2217 and you are there - press load and you are up and running in about 3 seconds. In my music book index I simply have the song title followed by the location number. Nothing could be easier or faster. Regards, Walt Good points about the SD card . The SD card allows for both audio and midifile playback . The KN6500 only allows for midi file playback . Technics I think is saying " hey , audio playback is better quality than midi sequence playback . They provide the end user recording software that's works with your computer . The SD card gives you this . If you are strictly looking for more style playback , than keep the KN6500 . If you like the idea of making audio recordings along with your music , than the KN7000 is definately worth the upgrade . " Audio my dear Watson , audio " Oh , I think the SD card allows you to use the great LCD display as well !! Digital pictures ? Ma chere Pauline! I moved up from my original keyboard (the 5000) to the fabulous 6500 because I couldn't resist all the new bells and whistles when I saw and heard it. I swore that would be my last--until the incredible 7000 appeared! Ha, I wasn't looking for great new features (although the 7000 certainly does have them compared to previous models), and I surely didn't need a new upgrade just a few years after purchasing my 6500. But alas, I decided that I would spend some of my son's inheritance, and, at this point in my senior life, I will no longer deprive myself of the wonderful things that life offers to make it richer in these "golden years"!!! So, I splurged and got the 7000 last November. Have not regretted it for a single second! So, ma cherie, if you have the financial ability, get whatever you want and make your life as rich as possible. As for me, I now swear the 7000 will be my last! (Hehehe, until the new 7500 or 8000 or whatever comes along next.) Go for it, girl!!!! Zut alors, voyez la vie en rose, Pauline! Ted Rose
