Hey Pauline,
Just get off the dime and go get that keyboard. You are going to love it. I sure do. I should not have waited this long to get mine. At my age I should never let money interfere with happiness.
JUST DO IT
Best to you

Ma chere Pauline!

I moved up from my original keyboard (the 5000) to the fabulous 6500 because I couldn't resist all the new bells and whistles when I saw and heard it. I swore that would be my last--until the incredible 7000 appeared! Ha, I wasn't looking for great new features (although the 7000 certainly does have them compared to previous models), and I surely didn't need a new upgrade just a few years after purchasing my 6500. But alas, I decided that I would spend some of my son's inheritance, and, at this point in my senior life, I will no longer deprive myself of the wonderful things that life offers to make it richer in these "golden years"!!! So, I splurged and got the 7000 last November. Have not regretted it for a single second! So, ma cherie, if you have the financial ability, get whatever you want and make your life as rich as possible. As for me, I now swear the 7000 will be my last! (Hehehe, until the new 7500 or 8000 or whatever comes along next.) Go for it, girl!!!! Zut alors, voyez la vie en rose, Pauline!

Bill and Ted, I love your thoughts about not wating at this age---just go do it. Don't deprive yourself. I love it, I love it!!

Now to make a decision to buy a motorhome I've dreamed of.

Cheers, John C.

PS, When it comes to keyboards, I have never held back. The new keyboards have brought me more knowledge, and a lot of pleasure. Amen.

I moved from 6000 to 7000. Sound is much much better. As a home player with box's full of styles, performance and midi, the SD was a god send. Reduced yards of clutter to a couple square inches and can now find things.
SD difficult? As simple as floppy.
