Oh! My how time flies it only seems like yesterday when we were going through a really bad time with the Technote forum and how it was being censored and we were all looking for an alternative.
It’s a funny thing how we were all up in arms about posts on Technote being deleted and the censorship being imposed by them for what reason we could not understand at the time and it was only later that we learned the reason for the draconian measures.
It is to Nigel that we owe a vote of thanks for allowing us to use this virtually censorship free forum whose intervention has only been necessary very rarely so a big thankyou to him.
I thought it might be interesting for people to read some of the stuff being exchanged at the time so I have posted one here.
Wishing everybody a very merry Christmas and a very healthy and prosperous 2005.
Johnnie

Hi Johnny,
I just read your forum post and got your email from there and put it into my file. I just wanted to touch base with you and let you know what my email addy is also.
I really liked your post. You hit it square on the head.
I am wondering out line if in fact it may not be time to start another forum, that is non commercial and for musicians and keyboard owners.
I have an IRC room like that on starchat net where we swap chat and music in all formats.
I am also thinking about a forum on a subscription website. There are some pretty talented people here that could set it up. We could kick in a few bucks a year and subsidize the cost. For example take a look at Gunnar Jonny website. It is quite extensive. He obviously has a lot of talent in this direction. My website is somewhat limited to my own music and my expertise lies in other areas but I did get it done.
I have addresses for many of the forum members and over time I could probably get most of them as nearly everyone has at least one or more addresses of forum members.
I would be interested in your ideas. Drop me a line.
I am going to forward this email to Gunnar J also and see what he thinks.
Best to you from,
Bill Forrest, San Jose, CA (The Land of Roving Blackout Outages)
