I have had my KN6000 2 yrs now and have averaged about 1 hour a day on it with no problems to date that would necessitate a trip to my dealer.

Have any of you played your KN6000 much longer than that without any problems that needed to be repaired?

Thanks for the info.

Larry, I can't speak for the KN6000 but I used my KN5000 with a hard drive about an average of 2 hours a day for almost six years until it was sold last week, without a single problem. Technics makes a very durable and dependable product in my opinion.

I have had 4 technics instruments, (1 PR), lots of usage in my recording studio by me and others and none of them ever went to a shop for repair. I can't say that for the other keyboards in here. The KN6000 and the KN800 traveled all over the coutry with me to other recording studios in the motorhome with lots of bumps and bangs and no problems. They are stout

KN 6000 and EA-5 Organ about one and a half hours a day average playing. The 6000 hauled around in the car........solid machines with not a problem. Looking forward to the 7000.

Hi Larry. If it's any comfort to you I had my 6000 just short of 3 years - bought one of the first batch. Never any problems and as for time spent on it, I dread to think - I probably averaged a couple of hours every day plus 2 or 3 gigs per week lasting between 2 and 4 hours.
I just hope my 7000 will be as reliable.
John
BTW Don't let the 6000's reliability be an excuse for not changing to the 7000 - Believe me it's great
