since the 2600 is later than the 7000, it has new styles which the 7000 has not got, so 7k owners can use these styles.
The remaining 2600 presets are basically already the new presets of the 7000 that were not on 6500/6000, so you effectively already have them built in, so are not missing anything if you download the 6500 and other styles.

Great that this project was thought of, and the right person was picked to do the job. And mostly the PR's were included. That doesn't happen very often.

May I ask; What about the KN7000 patterns that are not on the PR604/804, will these be available for the PR's sometime later? If some of these are on the KN2600 and maybe other models, then how many are actually needed to fill in that particular void?

Thanks for thinking of the PR's. Hmmm, with that in mind, are they thinking of changing the KN7 website to KN-PR website???

HELP
I run Mac G4 with OS 9.2.2. I’ve carefully read the pdf info file which indicates that a zip file of any of the 38 styles from the 2600 can be downloaded from the 7K software page. I can’t find any zip files. The download delivers an asp file which can not be opened. When inserted in my KN7000 there are no file names shown. What am I doing incorrectly?
Thank you to whoever is willing to help.
Frank

Hi Frank:

Not sure this is what your looking for, but will give it a try.

Go to the software page, scroll down to just above center, and when you see KN Floppy Disk Style Library for PR804, PR604 and PR54... STOP! This is what I think your looking for. Right above the piggy bank (rom)... It's missleading, it is in KN7000 format.

Here you should see (MAC) files, click on the download icon for each (MAC)disk, 3 in all. The download files should be a zip.

I think you're misunderstanding the description 38 styles. If you total all the styles that have been converted in disk format, you would end up having a total of 38 disks with about 20 styles per disk, some won't have the full 20. The KN2600 will have 45 styles on 3 disks.

Hope this helps, Anthony

Hi again Frank
What I explained above is covering the KN2600 what you were looking for. If you want the rest in zip format. Scroll a little higher to next header and you will see more (MAC) for the KN2000 to KN6500 plus World, these are all in zip. If you download all of these you would end up with 38 disks...

I'm afraid 7k styles were not part of the remit at this time. The relevant styles should be duplicated at www.technicsprpiano.com when it is finished.

The Mac sections refer to the floppy disk downloads. These are provided in self-extractors which write themselves to blank disks automatically. Since these don't work on Macs, duplicates are provided for Mac owners of zip files. Thus there are 38 floppy disks of all the styles to be downloaded - 3 floppy disks if you want the new 2600 styles in composer/panel memory format.

The files you downloaded were from a Custom section, and if an AST file then is a Single Custom style. Thus follow the instructions for the Custom Styles and load them via the floppy disk Custom Style Load/Save menu (on the left of screen). Alternatively, if you have a card reader, you could save a single custom on SD, erase it in the card reader and copy all the single customs to the Custom folder you will have created on the SD card.

OH Wow Alec,

A PR site too. I didn't even know it was there. But PLEASE ask them to include the PR54 in their data. It's a great piano too.

Again, nice going.
Heather
